This is a traditional folk dance in Michoacan, Mexico. It originated with the Purepecha indigenous community in the Andes Region in South America where the Purepecha people emigrated from Mexico at some point in their history. This performance was held at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. on October 28, 2018.

Thank you for uploading the video. I had the privilege to visit this place recently and I have to say it was amazing except for the part where I was attacked by the ants and pricked by the ceiba tree, they have small thorns which I was not aware they had....OUCH!!!! Thank you again for posting.
