Who's the singer?
Upon the hearth was intended to be a walking song. You're pacing is completely wrong. The key quite annoys me. Your voice is so great. You're so talented... but you shouldn't be singing it this way. I personally would have taken inspiration from Irish folk music. It would have complimented your voice better.
I appreciate your feedback. Donald Swann composed this song cycle, and I performed it as he wrote it. The pacing speaks more to me as a sauntering song than a walking song, haha. I couldn’t change the key for one piece without messing up the ones for the other pieces in this cycle. Thanks for listening, I hope you like my other stuff.
