Insight was first published as a data-logging program for the Acorn Archimedes computer in 1992 by Logotron Ltd. At the time it was the culmination of a decade of research by Dr Laurence Rogers at the University of Leicester, developing sensing hardware, curriculum materials and software designs to explore the benefits of computers in practical science.
Since 2011 Insight Resources has developed and published the range of Insight titles spanning data-logging, video analysis, modelling, simulation, control technology and programming. Mr Bit is the most recent addition, dedicated to programming the BBC micro:bit.

Insight Mr Bit Plain English coding editor for BBC micro:bit - Update Sept 2024
The Mr Bit Plain English Coding editor is the classic software for creating programs in plain English for the BBC micro:bit. The latest update contains numerous time-saving improvements to the user interface, giving an enhanced intuitive feel to its unique features: Speedy editing, default selection of internal sensors, new analogue sensor adjusters, program templates, versatile music editor, new buzzer output, external connections management, radio control, text array.
