This was a warmup trip for a wading adventure I went on with my buddy Jim. It turned out to be a great morning of catching quality bass. This was one of the last trips my favorite NIKKO hellgrammite made as I lost "Big Moe" later on that afternoon. I was bummed because I wanted to see how long it would last and continue to catch bass.

Out on wading adventure with my buddy Jim. We had a serious time crunch trying to beat the incoming storms...we didn't make it! We did, however, manage to catch a few nice bass. I lost my longtime secret weapon "Big Moe... My natural NIKKO hellgrammite that I have used on the last 3 or 4 trips out, catching over 60 bass with it. RIP Big Moe.

Somehow, I got my wife to agree to appear in one of my videos! She joined me on a fun fishing/float on the Juniata River. I went wade fishing with my buddy Jim, on a hot summer day! We covered a lot of water and caught a ton of bass. We also got to watch a bald eagle dive into the water in an attempt to catch a fish. Pretty amazing stuff. It was a great day to be out fishing! I hope you like the video.

I took my wife's new Old Town Sportsman PDL 106 kayak out on a little fishing adventure in the Juniata River. I love this kayak! Overall, I caught a bunch of smaller bass and had a nice one snap my (already ragged) line at the end. It was a good day. I highly recommend this kayak!

I went on a little kayaking adventure with my buddy Jim. We floated the Juniata River, catching a bunch of smallmouth bass. It was a super fun (but tiring) day on the water. Watch until the very end! There is a little surprise for you. It surprised me too! Enjoy!

I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing or where I was going...ending up hitting a submerged log. I almost went for a swim. I went on a Tuesday morning fishing trip to my hometown of Mapleton Depot. I caught a bunch of nice smallmouth bass and watched 2 bald eagles (that were watching me) as I peddled my way upriver. All in all, it was a great day of fishing.

I fished that stretch 35-40 years ago. Never caught anything big, but always had the feeling that some big ones were there. We wade fished. Thanks for bringing back some good memories.

Beautiful water…nice to find random lures.. I use to walk the rivers and creeks in Chuck Taylor Converse..😂 Heat, storms, and humidity are killing me here.. and spending every penny I get on a vehicle 😂.. A wise man once said, life popping up..
At some point, your luck will change! My wading boots have saved me more than once... saved my ankles that is...
What bait were you using? What bait do you find works best during the summer months? I never fished the Juniata. Great video. Sorry about that one at the end. Happens to everyone.

That sucks. But I am glad to know that things like that don't only happen to me. Sometimes taking myself fishing is like taking a little kid fishing - stuck in trees, knots breaking, tangles. All part of the experience, I guess. Just laugh it off.
Oh, I was frustrated but not because of losing the fish. It was because I was in such a hurry to tie on before the storms hit that had I slowed down just a wee little bit, everything would have been fine. LOL Believe me, I know it kind of looks like I take myself seriously but, in all truth... I don't. LOL Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
Bri, ill tell u were to try..drive 22 east, make right at Martins in mcveytown, drive across the rive, and probably 2 miles..look for old little league baseball field on right side..turn left drive down little old dirt road, then park by railroad tracks..wade fishing at its best..i caught 5 lb, 22 inch smallie there..hole is deep, i waded up to my chest

Been there… when I was learning how to connect braid to mono, I can’t tell you how many times that happened..
It's very, very frustrating. LOL I believe I cut the tag end way too close. I thought, eh, it'll be okay... well I guess it wasn't. LOL

I love rockbass… spent a lot of time catching those guys as a kid and really feeling like I accomplished something.. they’re strong and numerous.. great confidence building fish..

I fished from the juniata point access for Raystown branch on the 3rd caught 3 little small mouth on craw and hellgrammite.
@AlexStabley we were there on the 5th. I actually didn't fish because there were so many people in the water...fishing, swimming. I was shocked to see a giant musky swimming towards everyone. I didn't get him on video, but im editing that trip right now. Thanks for watching.

Those pfleuger president and president xt reels are amazing for the price. I just don't like the 2024 versions of them. They changed the appearance and now they look cheap. So i switched to the daiwa regal Lt. Similar price point, and just a good!

What's the ideal water level for wet wading the juniata?
That actually depends on the time of year you are wanting to wade and where you are wanting to fish. Cooler weather/water (spring and fall) conditions, I prefer shallow water. Warmer weather/water (summer) I will wade in to deeper water to get to the spots I want to fish. Overall, you just have to use common sense and wade safely. There are plenty of places you can access by wading. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Hello I just thought of a question, in one of your videos you mentioned that your hunger came back! So say you just ate and your stomach is full are you still hungry even though you're unable to eat more?
No, what I meant was that I had no appetite at all for a couple of months after surgery. I wasn't hungry at all during that time, while my stomach healed. If I overeat (which has happened), it makes me feel like crap. I try not to overeat. Small portions and eat slowly. I hope that answers your question. Thanks for watching!
