Bradford isn’t as bad as it used to be.. With changing demographics there’s more integration now. Problem with drugs, money laundering, car insurance etc is very high. But there are some nice areas too..

I remember, I saw Bradford on top of a list over most criminal cities in Europe.

tbf although there's a correlation with importing diversity and post-industrial decline, it's worth remembering that the slow decline came from the collapse of Bradford's textiles. First, worsted suits were replaced by polyester imports from east Asia, then the carpet industry died from the trend for laminate flooring and offshoring to Turkey (ie globalisation). Add to that turning building societies into banks (N&P, B&B and Yorkshire BS were all HQd there employing thousands) and UK being world #1 for online shopping (there goes the high street). All that decline is anywhere's recipe for crime. I have family in Clayton, and they are embarrassingly dumb. Seriously...they are proud of being stupid, snobbish about doing better, love getting drunk, and the girls can't wait to get knocked up by anyone so the government can be daddy. See Billy Liar, Rita Sue & Bob Too or read Room At The Top for cultural examples. That's been ingrained a long long time. Bradford people would rather sit on a beach in Spain than explore beyond Yorkshire. Too many blame one thing for any problem. It's called single variant thinking - and is the cause of most of our poor political decisions. Refreshing that you didn't fall into that thought trap in this vid.
