I’ve been legally blind from birth, I’m autistic, I also have depression, untreated ADHD and severe anxiety, my experience with the tossers at capita who did my PIP assessment left me suicidal. The bitch who did the assessment could clearly see how visibly distressed I was but she didn’t give a shit. They don’t see you as human beings, they see you as statistics. Fuck this company and fuck anyone else who does these assessments. I hate the lot of them! Total and utter wankers! I was shaking when I came out of the assessment. They asked me if I had a pet dog, which I do. They asked me if I walk the dog, what the fuck! Why would I risk injuring myself or my dog as I am blind and have to use a white cane to help guide myself. So walking the dog would be both unsafe for me and him, but also very impractical and daft. I cannot see where he’s walking

I had never heard of this show until very recently, I often write children's stories myself in my spare time and most of the stories I write are also based around talking buses, I didn't realise that had been done before so you can imagine my disappointment when I learned that this show existed!

I remember when I was in Year 6, we learnt about the Second World War and I remember my teacher telling us to go and watch this as this was on TV at the time we were studying this. I guess that was part of our homework in a way. I haven’t seen this since it aired all those years ago so I have vague memories of this. I may have to go and rewatch this. 😊

January is such a slog to get through.....

If go anywhere on own, will help to have someone be available for your mum. Which I know easier said than done. Have walking aids around home, foldable stick to have when go out. Better to do more small local trips to train yourself to how goes when do, build confidence. Walks bus train not too far and explore. Are walking groups dotted around, I've done before and you find people that walk same pace.

Emily I'm here if you need a chat. I'm just going through the courts against the PIP decision which was totally bang out of order. I too have bad anxiety and can't work and have epilepsy. It's making life hard but thankfully epilepsy is under a degree of medical control now. It still makes my life hard and does increase my anxiety too..I really feel your pain and send you big hugs xxxxx
