Ha ha! We don’t usually pay attention to either at home (it’s usually cloudy this time of year anyway) but on vacation both sunrises and sunsets become a scheduled activity 😁

We love cruising and have been doing it for over 20 years. We also used to be travel agents that booked cruises so we now just book with the cruise line. HOWEVER, if you’ve never cruised before it is very important to talk to a good travel agent because each cruise line offers a different kind of experience. Things to consider are: ITINERARY (where it is going and the ports it will stop at); PRICE (each cruise line has different budgets for similar cruises); STYLE (do you want an active ship or a quiet one); ROOM (do you want a lesser priced inside room or a more expensive balcony); DRESS REQUIREMENT (do you like a more formal dress code in the evening or casual dress code); KIDS (do you want a cruise line that is family friendly or an adults only). SO MANY CHOICES. Hopefully you can find a reputable travel agent that is experienced in cruising.

Thanks for watching! Wow, that was one of our first videos. Yes, we really enjoyed that cruise. We had almost given up cruising but we had so much fun on that Transatlantic cruise that we’ve been cruising at least three times a year since.

Thank you and thanks for watching! We were in Rome to catch a cruise but were staying in a central location so I just went on a quick walking tour. Unfortunately for our friends who had never been to Rome before all the refurbishment going on for 2025 Jubilee Year reduced their sightseeing ability. Oh ya, the Aurora was one of the big highlights for our entire 53 day trip (and it happened on the first day).

Thanks for watching! Yes, it is now very high on our list for our next European trip. We’re trying to get ideas on ferry connections from Rhodes for day trips and to stay at other places

@ we took a ferry from Bodrum Turkey for a daytrip to Rhodes. Also the island of Kos is nearby and very cute.

Thanks for watching! We’ve visited Athens a couple times before so we didn’t brave the crowds on the Acropolis. We also finally admitted to ourselves that we can’t do it all and need to pace ourselves to still enjoy the visit. Thus, we took it easy and didn’t see a lot of the major attractions. We’ve also been to Crete, Rhodes, Santorini and Mykonos but Greece but there seems to be so many other places to visit. Hope you get there soon. We’re planning a possible Greek island hopping trip in Fall 2026 (we do plan out that far).

Yes, it’s a beautiful place but we usually use public transportation which isn’t the best way to get around Tuscany so we took a tour. Thanks for watching!
