I just recently bought one from France, pre-ridden. Best 150 Euros I ever spent, since I ride every day. Every other saddle I ever tried is bollocks compared to this 19th century design

So, after five years - are you still using it? I bought it for the looks and keep it in a box...

My Brooks Professional is now 46 years old and still a great ride….was original equipment on the ROMIC Grand Tour 100 I purchased from Daniel Boone Bike shop in Houston Texas in the Spring of ‘76…paid almost $900.00 for the bike then and still ride the bike almost everyday….Now, not as many miles on the twice daily out and back trips, but still so many smiles…

I'm sure this, the TDF and Virtuoso use the same frame.

I used to live on the front at Seacombe but rode the opposite way on my bike from Seacombe to West Kirby nearly everyday when I lived there , loved the area and miss the sea air . Great video.

I shifted to dropbar too, to my surprised the reach drastically changed. I need to buy 40mm stem soon. facepalm

Well it has been almost a year how about a follow up review?

The professional is a nice saddle. The saddle seems a little shorter than most other saddles I've used. It's a great choice for sport touring. It also took a little while to break in, and I found the angle of the saddle is critical to get optimum comfort. It turns out I needed the nose up more than I'm used to setting up a saddle.

how much did you spend updating the bike

Great Vid, i usually Build a couple of Road Bikes a year but i"m looking to Convert a Hybrid to a Road Bike as i want wider tyres for my 25 mile daily commute. At the moment i"m restricted to 25mm width tyres. I could go out and buy a Cyclocross but that would be the Expensive route, especially as i already have the Equipment to carry out the Conversion.

Question, could you have taken off the old shifters and put them on the new handle bar??? if you didn't want the road bike shifter/brakes could you just put the old ones on?
