As an ex-Aurizon driver....that's not working hard. One of the best places to get the locos really working hard, is between Laidley and Yarongmalu.

I don't know the location but it's nice to see a degree of common sense prevailing, using old engine oil to control dust. The loud screeching confusion from the "Green Brigade" put a stop to that very sensible way of keeping dust down on gravel roads during summer, deemed environmentally destructive in places swayed by woke governments.

The consist is arriving at the unloading terminal, for export, which is the second overhead gantry you can see in the distance. This will be coal coming from the Western Downs area. The loco refueling area is 2 kms back up the line opposite the fuel terminals.
