Not that I am aware of. The amount of FO depends on the size of the vessel and how strong you want to make the candle or perfume oil. However because the vial is small usually 10ml it’s best to use a few drops since FO are chemicals and people can become allergic to too much essential oils.

You might need to size down on your wooden wick. Go to makesy.com and see which wick size works best for your size jars.

You should use fragrance oil that is safe for skin application. I suggest using essential oils since a small amount goes a long way. Essential oils are made out of the plant itself as opposed to fragrance oil which is primarily made through chemicals. Essential oils are more expensive since than fragrance oils but it’s well worth it. Hope that information helps. Good luck

Bulk Apothecary

Some people don’t want to use paraffin and want to be able to have an all organic or all natural candle line. Some people are allergic to paraffin wax or want to be environmentally conscious.

Hola, I will need more information. What kind of jar is a stating jar. Is it a straight sided jar? Where did you purchase your jar from? Make sure that it is a 9oz jar. I like CDN or HTP wicks because they work best for me. Have you tried wooden wicks? Is it the wicks that you’re having an issue with or the jars or the hot throw? Does the wick burn correctly with the jar? Are you getting a good burn pool, is the wick burning properly (no high flames or smoke)? Have you tested this wick with this jar and the combination you are using works? What size wick are you using for both CD and ECO wicks? All of these details must be working adequately before hot throw becomes a priority. Once you know that the wick and wax and jar all work together perfectly then you can focus on hot throw. You just can’t test for all those variables at the same time because you will get overwhelmed and you’ll over look or skip something important. After you’ve established the correct jar wick and wax ratio then hot throw is important. Also Candle Science has a good wick:wax:jar combination assistant guide you can try as well. Notice: the hot throw for a jar must be tested in a small area since your jar is 9oz. You can’t compare your hot throw to any other candles because you don’t know exactly what kind of wax they are using. Also before you burn test your candle for hot throw you must let your candle cure for 3-5 days or at least a week before burning them for scent throw. For me the longer I let my candles sit the better the hot throw. Don’t get discouraged. Candle making is a science and it requires a lot of trial and error before you get the formula right. Make sure that you’re taking notes as well.

Oh and one more thing, make sure that you’re not using too much scent and are using the correct amount of fragrance oil. Bramble Berry for example has a fragrance oil calculator you can use. Using too much fragrance can also negatively affect your wick causing a lot of soot, smoke, uneven burn pool, and bad scent altogether. Go back to the drawing board if you haven’t established testing for the right wick for the jar that you have and the wax that you use.

Hola, If you’re creating a line with natural fragrances then use Essential Oils instead. It’s made safer for skin without too much added chemicals. Just make sure to find a reputable company to purchase from. I use Nature’s Garden or Bulk Apothecary

I used my business name as well on the account as an authorized user but the business is the primary account holder. Depending on the bank you choose to use they’ll ask for your business information such as a business tax ID number which you can get for free for your business name. To get your business bank account and then your personal information or any other authorized user for the account. So if you use a fake name on the account how would you get money out if you were to walk into the bank to retrieve your money without an ID with that fake name. Hope this information helps

Coco apricot already has food grade paraffin in it depending from which supplier you obtain it from. Coco apricot already has a good hot throw. There’s a coconut paraffin wax already in the market and you don’t have to do any mixing. Candle Science has that blend already IGI 6046.

Yes you can. You can use just about any oil that is safe for the skin. Just make sure that you test it before you sell it. Also make sure you sure you tell your customers that you’re using almond oil just in case there’s an allergic reaction to it. The oil I used is fractionated coconut oil made specifically for the skin, so make sure you use oils that are safe for topical applications.
