Choosing a Dermatoscope - The Detailed Version
Which dermoscope are you using?
Great use of AI
great initiaves..thanks
This is so useful thank you!!💙
thanks Chin! always good.
Where was this located?
Looks like it's between the left eye and the ear.
Yea you could see the sideburn and smile wrinkles on the end of the eye so it was on the upper middle left cheek.
Hi. Where have you purchased the adapter @ 1:44 that you're talking about? Cant seem to find it anywhere. Cheers
Thank you, great video.
Nice extract the whole cyst looks like two small shelled macaroni .
what a about the dead space closure😢
Yes brilliant... No more watching amateur hour video!
Thank you! Lots of useful iformation in this video.
Does it hurt?
Obivoulsy it hurts
@@UmairKhan-mc7ujI was asking this because even I had a surgery like this but on my skin of the skull…
The initial poke hurts, but the numbing agent should kick in later and you shouldn't be able to feel pain.
How does it actually hold up in clinical use? Are the pictures of acceptable quality?
Hi! Thanks for the video! I have a old DL4 wich is not working properly late days and I was thinking about getting a handyscope. I work mostly with nails pathologies. Do you think it is ok the few lights this handyscope has? Does it make realy good images?
This handyscope is excellent optically and lets you get great photos. It's not designed to be used as a handheld scope for the naked eye though.
What’s the image quality like?
Great video, thank you very much. May I ask which website you purchased these Iboolo scopes from? There seems to be two websites (iboolo and iboolo medical). I’m not certain which site is genuine. Many thanks, Gwen
What kind of curette do you use?
Isn't there any chances of regrowth?
Yes, in the case of my relative, it reoccurred after 5 years, this time bigger. First surgery completely removed the cyst and was a textbook successful surgery.
@@neyla.o I had a cyst regrow after removing a cyst in the same area. It’s smelly too sometimes and now I am debating whether I should bother even removing this one.
Nicely done that man. Text book stuff. Brilliant.
Please what s thé différence between this and dermlite 5
Great. Thank you
I have used it for more than a year and the quality is top-notch, on par with a Heine delta with Nikon/canon Adapter on an SLR or the Dermlite Photo II pro adapter. In my opinion, the resolution and clarity is better than pretty much every videoscope I've used so far...
Great video thanks
hi thank you for the video. when do i know when i have to use the cross/non-polarized/parallel polaized. i dont know where to look it up
Very helpful Chin - thanks 🙂
does anyone use the heine delta 30 ? any reviews please ? it it worth using on daily practise ? thank you
Very informative thank you
Thank you for this review. Would you still choose the DL4 over the DL5? And are you familiar with the DL4W? Thanks again.
I am between the DL4 and DL3N. How helpful do you find to have the pigment boost option? My understanding is that the DL4W does not have it and it is a little less expensive.
Hi, this is Chin replying. I don't find the pigment boost useful at all, and the DL4W (without pigment boost) is indeed a bit less expensive. I would certainly be happy with DL4W (indeed that's what I normally use)
More of these please
Thank-you 🎉

Est-ce douloureux ?
It feels pretty much like it looks. Like slicing into your skin with a bit of pressure. I asked the doctor before he started if they usually numb the skin, and he said "only if you're a little baby". He was a jerk but it healed up well. Lots of blood after the procedure though (I had many papules removed).
Unfortunately, this is out of focus.
Can you post actual lesion pictures captured by device too?
A video about taking good photos recorded at 240 p max resolution...

Did the biopsy go through-and-through? I can see bubbling blood.
Thank you for such a comprehensive presentation on the pros and cons of these scopes. May I ask whether the new Dermlite DL5 offers significant advantage over the DL4 in terms of distinguishing critical differential features between lesions? Does the greater clarity with the DL5 mean the avoidance of missing vital features or that it simply provides a sharper image? Thank you for your help.
HI. Good video! I´m a Family Doctor from Spain. I use a Dermlite DL100 in my daily medical practice. I´d like to buy a new dermatoscope to use with the iPhone. When we need to send a picture from Primary Care to Dermatologist we use an Internet platform to share the macro and dermoscopy photos. Which specifications Handyscope have? Comparing with other Dermlite dermatoscopes? I'm looking for some comparatives with Handyscope but I didn't find any.
I have had to show hospital nurses, and carers how to do this because it’s not covered in their training and they don’t read instructions. Instead they grasp the bunched up stocking and force it on while digging their knuckles into the leg - very painful.
I absolutely love my delta one! Thanks for the video.
Thank you for the informations
Hi, how is the magnetic piece of equipment to adapt the opticlar to the phone called? Thank you
Hi, which app do you use to save the photos and transfer them onto nhs records? Im not sure what to use due to confidentiality issues?
Use consultant connect app, doesn't save image to your phone but emails to your NHS email with patient's NHS number.

So useful! thanks never had such a beautiful explanation before tbh
Hi, another gr8 review. Could you day how this compares to say a dl3? I am moving practice so need to buy a scope to continue to learn from the introduction course ( which was excellent!!) Thanks
The only problem with the opticlar compact is the poor battery time - it needs to stay in its cradle plugged in all the time. If you have your own desk and this is easy then it’s a great choice, and the fully enclosed magnetic end plate, with optional small contact plate, is excellent. It also has variable brightness and very good optics right to the edges. It’s fiddly to remove from the universal phone adaptor but that’s not a deal breaker. DL3 is also a very good scope - DL3 doesn’t have a small contact end plate and you can’t take the end plate off for using polarised mode without compressing surface vessels - but you can of course just hold it above the skin without extending the end plate if you want to do this. DL3 has much better battery charge retention time, and is an excellent scope. Would be a better choice if you don’t have a desk you can safely leave the desktop charging cradle on, with the scope in, without anyone “borrowing” it. See which you can get cheaper!
Fantastic review
