i have never seen a GX-55 with a old 2.5 mag box before lol, Topcon did release a 3.5p5 firmware from 2019 for these older boxes. but at this point these older GPS pcb's already have crazy hours and high oscillator offsets already, and they wont store and hold the Network IP password settings anymore either causing no 3dmc communication. and some MC-R3's are doing the same too.

Having used both topcon and trimble as an operator, I can say radio connection. Is probably the most common issues that I have encountered for whatever reason.

Do you find that topcon has more issues with connectivity and maintaining grades than trimble

Time is money,some times you need old school,total station is good if it's working correctly,if not, hopefully you have a grade crew that can shift to old school if needed.bench mark,laser or optical,.just saying.

Hello! Thanks for videos! Wanted to add some advice. I think, it's better to copy the 3d-mc installation .cab file to the hard disk directory. In that case, you won't be copying this file to the stick again and again. And it protects you from problems with equipment if stick reveals some malfunctions while software installing.

Also, you didn’t actually show the issue displayed in 3DMC with the D61pxi that showed radio issues. And it’s weird because it looked like you were trying to load GNSS firmware not radio firmware. I have never had a radio issue that was caused by radio firmware or GNSS FW. So in the end what did you load on your laptop? Interested to hear how you got that baby going?

TRU will not load until you run the white list update and do a (run as)

Excellent installation. I swear that I verified with the customer that this was the location where he wanted the display mounted. I always keep screenshot of those texts, (CYA).

I'm glad you knew to reassign the IP addresses to the GPS cards, I'll remember that. I would have been scratching my head at the lack of satellite reception after the cards were swapped and voltage was restored.

Hello was the original blade sensor a MCS cable or a Topcon cable it looks like it was an MCS cable? We have had a high failure rate with the MCS cable and try not to use them if all possible bit that maybe just us.
