American in Germany exploring all I can. I make longer videos at some of the bigger destinations around Europe (only just started), and short 5 minute or less finds for people to see and do around the KMC. The KMC Finds! videos are places that are 1 hour or less from Kaiserslautern, Germany.
I am always looking for suggestions and willing to travel to make videos at your favorite places you want others to see. Let m know where you want me to go next!!!

Scotland Pt 5- Edinburgh
Finally!!! We made it to Scotland. But before we do, we pass two castles. One of them being Bamburgh Castle. Made famous in the TV show The Last Kingdom, it is a huge place and very picturesque.
We make it to Edinburgh late that day. But the next day we explore the old town. Tickets to the castle are already sold out, but there is much more to see. Hope you enjoy!!

Scotland Pt 4- York! (still not in Scotland)
What an amazing city. York is full of history, foods, entertainment, and anything else you may want. In this video we explore the central and some of the oldest parts of the city. Starting in the Shambles market area, these buildings were built specifically as an open-air slaughterhouse and meat market in the 13th century. These buildings were beautiful and still being used as shops today. With...
Scotland Trip Pt 3- Nottingham and York
We decided to stop in Nottingham because of Robin Hood. Turns out he is a celebrated key part of the community's history. Several statues and plaques around town in his honor. We stopped at the main area in central Nottingham around the castle (Palace more like). Several different things to see in the gardens about the history of this once very large castle area. Also, exhibits inside of the ca...
Scotland Pt 2 -The way to Nottingham

Sure, why not! We spent the morning seeing site that ended up being nothing but did find a memorial to a part of the US Air Force from WW II and a nice place/castle. The 457th Bombardment Group was stationed at a small airfield in Glatton, England. This Group flew B-17s over targets throughout Germany and Northern Europe through the war from the start of February 1944 until it was finished. Fol...

Long start to the video. Wasn't sure if it was capturing my audio and I wanted to see how I did. Mistakes were made!!! Yes I am still a student. Now is the time to make mistakes. Our extended pattern is over double the size the normal pattern is. This keeps us clear of a village and noise sensitive area to the south. Hope you enjoy. Ever flight is getting better, and now getting more comfortabl...
Burg Eltz and the city of Cochem
We are back! I am a couple videos behind but here is our favorite Castle in Europe. Burg Eltz, in 1157ad this castle became home to the same family that owns it today (33 generations later)! It is said to be only one of three in the region never destroyed. This gem is a picturesque place nestled in the woods not far from the Mosel River. The city of Cochem sits on the banks of the Mosel River. ...

On our last day, we drove through the town of Copenhagen, stopped at the little mermaid, walked through an old star shaped fortress still used by the Danish military, and took pics with Mr. McDonald.
Drive through Sweeden

On our way home, we stopped at a small town in Sweeden on our way to Copenhagen. There I find some Iron Age rock art, and a lot of it!
Day 5- Oslo- Paradox and the Vikings
Our last full day in Oslo was full of fun for the kids. With a visit to the Paradox Museum and the virtual Vikings Museum (because the main one is closed). Walking through town we seen the main Palace, Parliament, National Theater, and the Nobel Peace Price Building. All buildings rather reserved and not extensively gawdy like some others. Two days left on our vacation.
Day 4-Oslo- NMM and the Kon Tiki museums
Full of rich history, Norway has been a place of explorers and fishermen. With their lives tied to the waters, much of their history is at sea or in boats. The NMM has many things to do and see for all of the family. This includes the third floor build specifically for kids to run around and climb all over.
Day 4- Oslo- The Fram Museum
With large screens that cover the entire ceiling and some of the walls, along with some great sound effect makes you feel like you are there in the artic. The Fram was a ship built to be sailed toward the North Pole in the late 1800's. After several explorations into the north including Northern Canada and Greenland, this ship was then used in a race to the South Pole in the years of 1910-1912....

Norway 2024 Day 2 Island
After arriving at Kristiansand, we explored the island of Odderoya. Just a short walk from our hotel, we needed to get out and see things before dinner. What we found was an Island with a long military history dating back into the 1600's. Having been changed multiple times through history, the guns on the island were essential during an onslaught of the Third Reich during WWII. Today, all of th...

Rhein River between Bingen and Boppard Germany
The music is annoying.
I've been to Triberg twice and how did I miss the worlds biggest cuckoo clock! Is this somewhere outside of the town?
There is another one in a house that is Northwest of the falls. Not as cool as the one I filmed though.
great video of my favorite place in the world glad you like it there too , eltz castle is a stunning place to visit too
Love that place
Nice video brother. 👍🏼
Thanks 👍
I told my daughter who lives in Bavaria with her family I want to go to Triberg next time we visit them. I have a fascination with cuckoo clocks so this town would be a great place to explore. I like how you can get up close and personal with the waterfalls.
It's goning to be the perfect place for you.
W yapper 🤑
Shame about the rain 🌧, sadly we cannot control the weather 😢. Thanks for showing us the castle ruins ❤❤❤
No problem. Thats the whole reason I do this. I want to give others the ability to see what is here even if they cant be here. So much to see and so little time.
We know what you mean, why out filming and exploring time flies 🙋,have a great day 💚
don't quit your day job!
Lol. No. I do this just to share my experiences with those who cant make it to europe.
Cool video! Looks like a lot of the places I visit.
This one was a really cool find being hidden in the woods and all.

Thanks for subscribing!!
Wow what a place. History like you don't find in the US.
This one is an amazing place to explore.
Where exactly on the Rhine, are you trekking? #84 Sub Hope you acquire an affinity for exploring Basque Country. "Hope you acquire an affinity for exploring Basque Country." I am confused, what is the connection between this place and Basque Country? I don't know where this place is, BMW 78 lol! said it will leave alink, but BMW 78 did not. From Cincinnati Pam.

Have not been to Ireland yet (except for an airport). And i trekk wherever peaks my interest. This place is close to my home in Germany so I though I would check it out.
Hello friend, thanks for sharing 👍 and walking us around ❤. A truly remarkable building with such history . We both enjoyed 😀this explore ❤.New friends here 🔔❤️ Happy New year to you 2024 🎊♥️🙋🎉
Happy new year! Hope you enjoyed the video. I have several others and will post another one in the next couple days!
Your music is 😂😂😂
Thank you.
Estimated the remains of 130,000 soldiers are interred here in the ossuary- and they keep finding more.
It is an amazing thing to see. And yes, they find more of everything every time a search of the area is done.
Been there twice. The amount of bones under the floor is incredible.
It really changes the mood once you see them. It is a totally different feeling than any other military cemetary.
Pitmarks? How about shell craters...?
They are amazing. If you have not been to Vauquois or Vimy, I would highly recommend them too for there wonderfully preserved battle fields.

Looks like a cold damp place to have lived in.
Massive place that was once full of people!!
Sad to think that this was home to multiple families at times in the past. .
One heck of a view back then before all the buildings like today. Bet they loved living up on top like that.
@@bwms78 It was a necessity to live like that for safety. .
That hill before the main gate is odd. I wonder if it was there in 1648?
Great question. Check this out.... a site for the Burg... www.stauferburg-hohenecken.de/index.php/de/
Looks beautiful! That’s one awesome video brother!!! Top 🔝
Thanks man! Glad you liked it.
Hello, please I would like some information, is there a car rental company in the city, because I'm trying to find it and I'm not succeeding. If it doesn't exist could you point me to the nearest town to Triberg that I can find?
Nearest big towns are Freiburg to the west and Villingen to the east. May be options closer but I don't know.
Google it dude
Hello thank you for the interesting Video. Full support! Greetings from Vienna 😊👍🏻
Thank you very much. And I hope you enjoy my future videos!!
Where is KMC? Country, State, City?
Kaiserslautern, Germany
what a nice family with natural acting children.they seem to be very happy being out with daddy
Thank ya!
was there 1981-85
Still an amazing area.
This is truly inspiring for every soul here. I really enjoyed watching this video for many reasons, but its calm and peaceful environment, I have to say it's just amazing. Being part of nature is something I was doing all the time until I lost it, moved to a big city with the hope of making it big and the mindset that it's going to be easy. Lost any kind of adventurous spirit and lack of discipline. Your video helped me bring all these memories and feelings. As I am slowly starting to understand where I need to be and the changes to make, your video keeps me on track. Thank you and wish you all the best this year :)
Thanks for the praise!!! More to come. I hope you enjoy them too.
