📱 Nokia 5500 Sport is Symbian v9.1 smartphone, released in 2006. It was the first Nokia phone ever to have Text-To-Speech and motion sensor features, using the built-in 3D accelerometer. It was used for sport purposes - tracking steps, calories etc., and controlling phone function with taping of the phone body, like changing music in Mp3 player.
❌ The phone is one of the few "famous" rubber Nokia phones, which unfortunately gets easily disintegrated over time due to the type or rubber material used. Other big disadvantages are the stiff and uncomfortable keys and small resolution screen (208x208) in comparison with other popular Symbian phones at that time.
🎨 The color variants of the phone are Grey/Black (shown here in the video), Grey/Yellow, and Copper/Orange. A little later in 2006, was announced Nokia 5500 Sport Music Edition. The differences are only in the sales package, including added accessories, such as a higher capacity memory card, bike mount and shoulder bag. It also has bigger retail box to hold the additional accessories. The phone itself has no hardware differences with the normal version.

Hello, thanks for watching it! I will make other types of videos at later point, in which i am going to show more about software and interesting features of some phones. This is only unboxing, i try to not make these very long.... Specifically for this phone, they were i think only 2 or 3 specific sport apps build-in and without moving the phone, since i am in front of camera and not running there is not much to show tbh. The main one was steps/calorie counter but as i said without actual using it there is nothing as data in it. I will think more about it when i start make those videos later ;)

Funny it was widely claimed as failures but this machines on secondhand market back then was pricier than the younger brother QD. Often these days, these machines still sold $150-$200 (closer to the price when its brand new) even though the age is 20 years old already!
