G.P. Cima Sonata à 3, No. 49. From: Concerti ecclesiastici 1610 | Ensemble L'Aminta
"Farbenspiel der Generationen"
"A generational game of colours"
A recording of the baroque ensemble L’Aminta and three generations of painters live painting a work of art.
Without knowing the 1610 sonata written by Paolo Cima, the three painters met in the town of Brixen, South Tyrol.
Adele, a 6 years old child born 2018, Laura Pan, born 1995, an incredible young artist from Bolzano, and Helga von Hofe, born 1937, a wonderful artist from Germany, currently residing in South Tyrol.
The video is shot on the stage of the Cultural Centre Astra in Bressanone. With the aid of KOMPATSCHER art frames galleries, we converted the stage into an Atelier for the painters to work.
Adele draws on canvas, Laura Pan on a marble slab and Helga von Hofe on scraps of fabric.
The music starts, and the lights are out, so they are able to listen without sensory disturbances. After an initial listen, the lights are turned on and they start to prepare their colours and paint.
Through the video you will see what story they tell us.
Ensemble L'Aminta:
Jasmin Vorhauser - recorder
Aliona Pietrowskaja - violin
Karin Hannisdal - cello
