the ppf is in the exaust? its basicly the middle section of the straight pipe you need to replace to delete the ppf haha

@@thomashowson7393 I know it’s in the exhaust but I’m asking MoreBHP if they have the equipment to remove it and replace it with a straight pipe and if you actually need to remove the PPF for the remap.

@@WayneLook you won’t need to remove it for the remap it may just give slightly less power…, I doubt it would be to different tho. What I do doubt is the fact they apparently got that much power out of this engine without seriously risking the temperatures and pressures getting to high to be safe! Put it this way if their running more than 300-310 ish on a jcw and you haven’t done some big engine upgrades it won’t be long before the driver floors it and it goes bang 😂 I have a jcw and mines running 290 which is safe

Leave the stock intake in place as that works properly. Then tune stage 1 first with no mods on 99RON fuel. We’ve run Cooper S at stage 2 with 330hp and 500+Nm , JCW has uprated pistons so will be fine. Inter cooler already larger as is the exhaust. Clutch stronger too. We tune for best delivery which is what makes them fast and great to drive.

For the engine yes For the Mechatronic units on the dsg... Nope the torqie limit, if its the 6 speed q250 dsg is 360 nm

@@colinparks619 You can adjust the pressure so the DQ250 can handle more torque. Those gearboxes can easily handle 500+nm lol.

@@AzzaM1983 You are fine. I got a Passat B8 with the same engine, mine is at almost 460nm. No slipping clutch or whatsoever. I went from 162hp and 365nm to 206hp and 459nm.

Currently done around 43,000 in it with no issues (touch wood)

I had mine done (no by these guys) recently and you don't need to change any parts for a Stage 1 tune.

It wil be, the PWG isn't capable of them figures on stage 2 map.

I'm gutted I have the PWG because it's not a walk in the park to get over 400bhp with a simple intercooler, decat and air filter.

@@Jammymancan mine is at 412 but that's only 355 at the wheels. (PWG X-drive) I was thinking about Pure Turbo's, but it's a lot of money for just a bit of power extra above a normal stage 2+.

Is this a stage 1+ due to customer having the racing line r600 intake? Otherwise with stock air intake it would be just a stage 1, So basically no hardware mods

Had this done at MoreBHP in crewe, 100% recommend. The remap was the best money i’ve ever spent it completely brought the car to life!

Runs dunlop sportmaxx tyres, need to manage the throttle but once it hooks up it flies.

I run 205/45/17 with Kumho tyres and don't notice too much of a problem though I reckon i get some torque steer. The car seriously flies, it feels like it's on steroids since the remap lol! As other than the wheels I have no other Sporty styling things added (no skirts or wings etc) it sure takes people by surprise. I love it, it's somewhat of a sleeper now lol!

Totally stock hardware, great results from these.

This is mine, had the mid pipe deleted too. Going through front tyres like you wouldn’t believe :)

Torque isn't necessarily the enemy, it is how it is delivered using sensible boost levels. Nothing weak about the Cooper S engine all the ones we have tuned are all going strong. I've been driving my own stock hardware Cooper S over 300bhp for over three years, and driven it hard - zero problems! The one in the video will run almost 600Nm but we capped it a little.

Cooper s and jcw engines are identical! But as far as i know the automatic gearbox has a max torque of 400Nm

Osmanliempo you are mistaken... Cooper S and JCW engines don’t even have the same engine codes... that’s before I get to the fact that have different pistons, turbo, compression etc etc

K K Sorry you are right but the base is the same. B48 engine. The jcw has some hardened pistons etc. Stage 1 should be no problem though with around 270bhp and 400nm torque. I dont know if the tune more-bhp did will have negative effect on long term. I would never dare.

@@morebhpltd can you also do remote map? I've got an 16' F56 S to tune, got airtec fmic, ngk iridium plugs, de-cat downpipe (stock exhaust otherwise) 98+ fuel
