The tour of the plantation is great, but do not buy anything from their shop as the cost of spices and wine they sell are exorbitant as compared to shops in madikere or elsewhere. We felt we were fleeced and cheated as we were sold a variety of pepper called 'badkan' which they said grows once in 3 yrs, at the rate of Rs 3600/- per kg. No pepper in India costs that much per kg and I believe there is no pepper which takes 3 yrs to grow. Also we were sold home made wine which they say is 5 yr old or 7 yrs old etc. There's no way to confirm this as no dates of manufacturing are mentioned on any of these wine bottles and we have to trust what the shopkeeper says, unless you are a connoisseur of wines. We paid Rs 2500/- per bottle as they said it was a five year old wine. Nowhere in Coorg/ madikere is homemade wines costing more than a Rs 1000/- for even a 7 to 10 yr old wine. So please check before buying anything from this Shop.

I visited yesterday , as an update , the above said all r true, for normal riding they were charging rs 1500/ boat and max 4 persons r allowed. Extra 1k to take to main waterfall, there is no direct access to that main waterfall by land. Don't fall for the social media gimmick. Yes cleanness is an issue there.
