Thanks for this. My wife and I are spending Christmas and New year in Mauritius (third visit for us) the previous two visits we flew Emirates business but this time Saudia (Much better value). Our route is Munich via Jeddah so this is useful in terms of what to expect.

The only airline in the world to use their A350-900 only for domestic flights :)

The title screenshot of the video is "Japan's Air Pass Nobody Talks About" but the video makes barely 3 seconds mention of it and then otherwise is just a typical airport + flight review. You skipped the entire thing that was advertised as interesting and potentially unique, and then present just another boring video about taking a flight. Way to miss the opportunity.

I am a Mauritian and live in Mauritius. Was happy to see this video review of Saudia. I have flown BC a couple of times from Mauritius to Dubai via Jeddah. I can confirm and I agree 100% with this review about the excellent service offered by Saudia (both the aircraft and the Alfursan lounge in Jeddah), and it cost half of what anyone would pay on other competitive airlines for the same route. So hat's off to Saudia. I am looking forward to flying Saudia BC again on 18 Oct 2024.

Seems like you're very tired to stay awake. Was it because of the previous flight? I was once in the same situation, I tried to stay awake just to film the take off, but I couldn't. It was also my first B787 flight, and I regretted that I couldn't make a trip report of that flight.

I have worked in aviation coatings for over 17 years. Paint peeling is very common. When I worked at repair facilities, I made a living off repairs and full repaints of jet aircraft. Speeds of hundreds of mph are increased as the air speeds up to flow over surfaces such as the wing and fuselage. Edges typically peel first. After just five years of regular use an aircraft paint job will look like a 50 year old car, for example. Extreme temperatures pose another problem which has to be addressed by aviation coatings. Aircraft go from temperatures in the negatives to 100 plus within minutes. Typical warranty on paint by manufacturers are at most three years.

Wonderful trip report. Liked and subscribed. The cabin was old, and the only thing that was up to date was the remote control :) 7 hours of sleep was insane! Meals looked really good.

when was the flight? the date and how was the crew were they friendly?

Horrible herringbone ... I like a nice view out the window. Fabulous food (except for gnocchi 🤮). Even though menu is not as extensive as some, there is something for every taste and the presentation was simple & elegant. Nice to see you on screen ... you are evidently one of those hateful people who will always look young 🤣. Thanks for another enjoyable vlog.
