I wouldn't use these guys even if the cars were free rentals. It staggers me that people still use them. Every year I see people queuing up at their Barcelona Airport counter and I feel sorry for them.

The worst car rental company ever. Stay away from them. They didn’t refund me after refusing my driver license, which was valid. They demanded an international driver license only when I arrived on the destination to pick up the car - this requirement was not mentioned on the rental terms and conditions on the product page, checkout page or confirmation e-mail. Don’t take risks with this small and amateur car rental company - pick others who take the business seriously, such as AVIS, HERTZ,….

Many years ago I booked a car for pick up at Faro Airport, never again! On arrival I was asked to take out waiver insurance because the car would be found damaged when I returned it on out of hours, posting the keys in their offices post box. Blatant intimidation, I returned it the previous day, got it signed off as no damage and stayed in a hotel for my early next day flight. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM. Bob the builder.

Klass Wagen mis-sold me NRW insurance saying this was refundable- do not use

I signed the ePAd with my signature and the words "NO INSURANCE" they attempted to claim I asked for it - but the sig clearly showed I didnt, bank didnt hesitate to refund.

Thank you for doing this service they are persiustant bastards, check twice before verifying your rental charge sometimes the charge does not go through do it again and you can find insurance added

Unfortunately I have to agree. When I returned the car at night, because our flight was at 6am - they made a report that said the lock was damaged (I never used the lock - it had remote locking), They charged me 534€ + 50€ :( I have a hard to belive that lock was really damaged. An expensive one and you’ll never see it coming.

Dont use Hertz. They have turned into complete cowboys. It wasnt until my mum was scammed that she realised my uncles have also had bad expereinces recently too. Their prices seem reasonable but actaully they are comign for your money in other ways.

Some of the scams for example 'smoke odor' cleaning charges are very cunning. It's classic he said they said. The customer says they have never smoked in their lifetime. The rental car company says their employee detected smoke odor. Nothing can be proved either way. The rental car companies rely on there being a certain percentage of customers who won't dispute the charge so a nice little earner. Somewhat similar to shady airport hotels charging customers for breakfasts they didn't have.

Just got back from Porto and they have said I damaged the car, left untidy and did not fill up. This is a total lie and I’m sure there is a criminal element in this particular branch. Disgusting

I think I just fell for all these scams ... KVL Malta. I'm just waiting for the bill, the car was covered in scratches and dings which the guy said he had recorded and showed me the top sheet. All recorded. When I looked at the paperwork he gave me, later, non of the marks was recorded. Looks like I might have a fight on my hands.

Guys isn't enough to get their cdw (ac) and this what is in basic cover? I renewed cars in Tenerife and Gran Canaria, never had any issues or option to choose with insurance. Never had any problems and now when I try to book a hire in Malaga I honestly don't understand why there is basic and premium cover. I mean does car in Spain have third party insurance? I bet they need to have but it isn't mentioned. Which car rental do you recommend? Thanks for this video.

Hello everyone! I have just returned back a car to récordGo and I am sure that my deposit of 1100 € will not be fully refunded since I read that many customer haven't received their money back. This company is full of pirates and it is a completely rip off! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I am wondering if it is possible to sue this company collectively - all the customers that have been ripped off - to get our money back?

Sorry about what you went through. I have just been ripped off by RekordGo to the tune of almost £900. I booked through Ryanair and took out their full insurance so I'm hoping to get my money back although the unpleasant woman at the rental desk in Alicante Airport tried very hard using lies and scare tactics to make me pay for their extortionate extra insurance. Basically the car was fairly scruffy to start with but in the dark car park close to other cars and under pressure to leave I didn't get any good pictures. I returned very early so I used the key drop off as there were no staff. I was in a hurry because you have to find a 24 hr petrol station within 30km of the airport and my sat nav had sent me on a ridiculous detour down some Spanish dirt roads. Anyway, when I got home I received a damage report saying it needed 2 new tyres and a door lock barrel and I'd parked in the wrong place (I hadn't). I asked for pictures and the tyres were just brown from driving on a dirt road. They were already looking tired. The damaged lock I hadn't noticed before, it could have happened after I left the car. The amount they were charging for repairs to a basic Fiat Panda were outrageous.

Sure price does not return deposit - we have been trying to get the deposit since 26th September and we are completely ignored when trying to contact customer service - don’t rent from them as they cheat and don’t return deposits ! Never ever sure price they take advantage of customers!

Hey are really scammers, sorry to be honest but they fucking thiefs, charge my creditcard by over 250€ with not notification. They have no support hotline only mail, until now still waiting for a report, pictures or any evidence of damage. I will like a ATM for them, were RecordGo pick up money

Ok well I work at a rental company at an intl airport half of the shit this guy said is cap sometimes u got those shitty people but they really don’t reflect us a whole sometimes mistakes happen but we fix them but we do not scam people to take cdw, CDW IS NOT MANDATORY, the security will be taken regardless of taking cdw or not and AGAIN if you were charged for it mistakenly you advise the customer service as soon as possible or ask questions confirm, we always confirm because you are the client we were for you! Honestly half of stuff this guy says is cap, and if they’re going on they’re going down on second hand companies no way a budget/hertz/enterprise will risk à blimsh to their name, if they said you did something you 8/10 did the other 2% is either they made a mistake and will make it right or that employee is shit…

Above all, never rent with Record Go! It offers really low prices but they will try to rip you off even with the total confort insurance (missing rear shelf) and if they manage to rip you off and you get your money back with the help of your bank (that's a long time and tedious), above all, but above all you should never rent from them again, otherwise they will cancel the reservation of your car at the rental agency and keep your money, you will end up without a car with your family and your suitcases on the sidewalk of the rental agency! It is incomprehensible that this kind of method will be practiced in 2021 !!

Goldcar ripped off 340 Euro from my credit card without informing me and when I launched a complaint to my bank they referred me to Six Payments. Six Payments took almost 3 months to decide the matter and they preferred Goldcar`s word to mine. And this is the second time that Goldcar forced the insurance option on me. So now they have my FULL BOYCOT

Thanks for taking the time to warn others. I was scammed in Malta and posted my own video on youtube about that. The thing that I'm most surprised at is how such an openingly dishonest company is still operating in many EU countries. The man in the tourist office in the airport in Malta even warned me about them when I asked him where their office was located! I'd say there's a lot of back handers to government officials going on in these countries!

This is the worst car rental company ever. the only thing they are trying to do is to sell you an expensive insurance. Here is my full story: After you get to the car rental office in the airport they try to convince you to take an extra full excess insurance for the vehicle. The rental cost me around 60 euro BUT the full excess insurance cost around 250 euro. The representative tries ( rather say: push) to convince you to buy the full insurance, they tell you that even a minor scratch on the car might cost you more then the insurance , they tell you that people in Italy park very tight to each other, and they told me that if you'll get stack you'll have to pay 200 euro + 2 euro for each kilometer distance from Rome to your location. I refused to buy the insurance, I ended up using a credit card with wrong pin number for three times. then the representative told me that the car rental is bonded \ attached to a certain credit card, which sounds very weird in general, as an alternative I suggested to use a difference credit card but the representative refused. The rental company told me that I have two options, either cancel the rental deal (which really upset me because I was already in my destination country), or the rental company will use my card manually (using the numbers on top of the credit card for the rental) BUT BECAUSE THEY DON'T TRUST MY CREDIT, THIS TIME I MUST BUY THE FULL INSURANCE (250 euros). I refused to buy the insurance and lost the rental cost. Then I made another reservation from the website but this time on the name of my wife, this time the company refuse to let me drive the car because the contract has been over my wife's name. I asked to become a second driver, but this time the rental company would let me become a second driver ONLY IF I'D BUY THE FULL INSURANCE (which really upset me because there is no dependent between the two). THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. THE ONLY THING THEY TRY TO DO IS TO SELL YOU AN EXPENSIVE INSURANCE. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!! SHAHAR FROM ISRAEL
