UR more beautiful than the van

We had one back in the 80s…loved it…we even took our cat camping. He would sit on the back table with the slide windows Open and loved having the wind in his face. The only problem was it leaked over my bed (at the front where the four chairs turned into twin beds). Didn’t leak over my sister and she found it funny! Many good memories. Wish I had one today!

Wish they still made them like this, on the Chevy chassis! Nothing like an “old” Roadtrek!

Actively searching for a Roadtrek. Did you look at Rialta? Curious. Very nice video. Didn't get my last two rv's inspected professionally. Thought I would this ti.e as I will be looking at 90"s models. Long backlog for that. 😂 Thank you and safe travels.

Hi... I love your cabinet behind the driver's seat. I have a 92 190 versatile and am ready to make modifications .... and would like a cabinet like that. Did you buy it ready made somewhere?

On my '07 C 190P, I put a false bottom where you have firewood for a couple laptops, etc. Sold it and miss it.

We have a 1997 and if anyone hears of someone on the Pacific NW who can reupholster the seats and upholstery I would appreciate a heads up. Needs some TLC in that area but otherwise just looking for cool storage ideas like yours. Am subscribing for more. ❤️

They're great little vans if you can find one rust-free after all these years. Really well designed. Had to laugh at the old Fedders A/C. That plant closed back in 1997, is now a Home Depot. Guy who made the (real) Roadtreks sourced all his parts from U.S. and Canadian suppliers. New Roadtreks are off-shore supplied. Kind of sad really. Spray it with oil once a year, take good care of it. Thing will last forever.

Good video. I have a99D190P and am having things worked on. My last thing for now is the generator getting a new Carburetor and a couple other things. Could you please share how you did the curtains in the bed area. I still have the original ones and really don’t care for them. You have made you RT so nice and cozy and looks well organized.

I am presently looking for an older Roadtrek...love yours! One of the first things I will do is get rid of the toilet and replace it with a composting (diy) toilet. I would do almost anything to never deal with a black tank.

We got tired of the grey/black tanks. Last trip, we lined toilet with plastic bag and used a scoop of the powder (Amazon) that changes liquids to gel. Do your thing, tie up the bag and put in a lidded container until you get to a garbage (which every gas station has!) We use white plastic tubs that fit in the sink to wash up or do dishes. Easy to empty wherever you are parked. Did 8,000kms like this and it worked great! No more black/grey tank emptying for us!Bonus! No more smelly van! 👍🏻👍🏻

I would love to know what your plans are for replacing the toilet. I just bought a 1990 road track Dodge and although like you I need the toilet, the idea of emptying the black water tank is doable it's not fun.

I have the same roadtrek 190 vertical. I am removing the 3 skyline windosw. And 2 rear windows. More safty and light block for sleep. Just a thought for you.

I’m concerned about the vinyl covered particle board portions. How did you paint those? Did you use regular paint? Did you have any issues with the paint adhering? Hi, great to meet you. I have a 92 RT 210. It's been in the family since new & passed around to family members. At 55-60 I have gotten 20 mpg, but that was not fully loaded for living in yet. I hope to move into my RT & travel. Maybe we'll meet each other on the road? Hope you have more video's showing your RT. Good Luck. AL

Interesting to see this pop up on my feed. I’m profoundly deaf, and do a lot of solo travel. Ridden all over the country alone on my motorcycle and now I’m starting to get into the van thing. Hearing people freak out that I do this alone… they’re full of “what ifs”. Life will happen. Deal with it when it does otherwise people like us will never do anything!

l knew you were the right person for me! l have fibromyalgia also btw, it's a pain in the tuckus and quite annoying. The good part is needles no longer bother me at all. Anyway, l want to be a full-time nomad but I'm alone and wondered how you established yourself for your license, voting, etc and now l have the tutorials you've shared to find out. lt's really difficult to change your thinking after having an address for most of your life to ...? I'm kinda lost on the details and there isn't a community of this kind around where I live. l don't have a dog now but wanted to get one to be my co-pilot/buddy/alarm/exercise push. l've been trying to find out if there's a breed that's best suited to the lifestyle.
