    Looks a great location and some healthy looking fish. Awesome seeing the indicator rise and the bend in the rod. These fish will continue to grow so the sport will only get better 👍

      Damn! I've been doing it all wrong for almost 40 years. I forgot that I'm supposed to pack oats and grits around my lead and just throw it out. Take a leaf out of Tim's book, just say something nice and move on or don't say anything.

    Nice fish and nice video. As far as I know you are not permitted to put a tent up and have a fire unless your at a designated paid campsite The local sheriff as you calls him probably doesn’t know about it. Dale hollow is owned by the army corps of engineers wich means the lake and all lands around it is federal property. You can fish anywhere you like as long as you don’t have an open fire or bivvy up.it’s the same way in my home state PA . Just to give you a heads up mate...

    • @usacarpfishing7901
      @usacarpfishing7901 3 роки тому

      I'm very aware of the rules. The local sheriff approached me in a designated, state camp ground that's why I was annoyed that the two old boys had decided to make their own boat ramp. The place where I ended up moving is beyond a "camp ground" sign. A fish and wildlife officer visited us last year and was fine where we were. Also all of the islands can be camped on and have fires. I do appreciate your info though.

    I wish more people could hear your message here in the U.S.A. about not only adopting the Common Carp as sportfish, but as well as the care and handling of them. I see you don't post much, but this was golden. Thank you, sir! Wish you had more.

    Ladybird Lake in Austin Texas where I fish after moving from the UK holds common and mirror up to 45lb (average around 20lb). Lots of bank access and stunning to look at.

    As an american, i am so disgusted by people bow hunting for carp. These fish are too beautiful to be treated so badly

    • @usacarpfishing7901
      @usacarpfishing7901 3 роки тому

      It is a real shame. Carp are a challenging fish to catch and the tactics used are different than any other species. They grow to big sizes and give you one hell of a fight.

    Oi, Oi Chris! It can be difficult, agreed, especially here in NC. The horrible bank access especially. Dale Hollow in TN is a shining example of what can be available. Boat carping is no real substitute, certainly not a long session platform. Bloody grassers , bloody bow hunters, bloody paylake tankers🙁. See you out there again soon.
