NAHANNI VALLEY MOUNTAINEERING CLASSIC | MEL AND ETHEL'S TOUR DOWN THE NAHANNI RIVER AND MOUNTAINS
This is a Mountaineering Classic! This video was made by my ultimate favorite mountaineering couple; Mel and Ethel. They take us down the Nahanni River and into the mountains. This video is filled with lots of mystery, beauty, gold, danger and wonder. This adventurous trip takes them into the unknown. An area known for mysterious deaths, mysterious sightings and wild animals. This took place in 1958.
This area is in the Nahanni National Park Reserve and is also known as Deadmen Valley and Nahanni Valley.
This video involves lots of river rafting, camping, mountain climbing, exploring, traveling the unknown, finding gold and beautiful mysterious country. All outdoors!! My favorite!!
I would love to do this some day with my future wife! My Ethel is out there somewhere!!
Enjoy!

Too bad nobody could take the time to narrate this great video and make it understandable...

Headless Valley (Mel and Ethel Ross, 1958). What an amazing couple to have the ability to venture out like that. No Fear. They don't make em like that anymore.

Great lost treasure story! How many have looked for Mels lost gold stream ?One could find it by the clues in this video.A helicopter would help.I believe one man found a prehistoric spear in one of those caves but lost it when climbing down and it dropped in the river never to be found again.

It was Mel who climbed the cliff and found the petrified spear. He dropped it on his way down.

This is a phenomenal documentary! Production quality every bit as good if filmed by an experienced camera savvy outdoorsman today(ie Survivorman). Wow, cave paintings and gold nuggets, I am blown away!

THE ''ROSS'' VEDIO IS VERY PLEASANT TO WATCH, BUT I HARDLY THINK IT QUALIFIES AS A ''MOUNTAIN CLIMBING'' ADVENTURE! I'M FRANK GRAVES AND I SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE. MY STORY AND ONLY A VERY SMALL PART OF IT, CAN BE SEEN, IN THE VEDIO TITLED, ''INTERVIEW WITH A ''CRYPTID'' HUNTER'', ON UA-cam. TAKE A LOOK, THANKS. 4/21/22.

No, that's just how it was. People didn't consider it dangerous, they considered it an adventure. That was state of the art equipment. Back when people actually lived their lives :(

They sure don't make 'em like Mel and Ethel anymore. That's true love right there. Ethel's a true ride-or-die woman and she'd probably follow Mel to the ends of the Earth. Both of them are equal parts adventurous and audacious. Imagine the stories their grandkids heard. Incredible. 🙅🙅👏👏👏👏

Well look at the traction its gained. Its hella disheartening as a creator when you put so much time and effort into something like this. For nothing to show for it. Look at my channels views. And you'll see sumn hilarious. My most popular video, is a completely different video than what i was really into at the time. And it only took me 15 minutes to make that popular video. While the others took much much longer. Yet. It has more views than my whole channel combined...
