When I realized that was the end of the show I was both sad it was over but also satisfied with how the last shot ended the entire show.

That final frame is one of the most epic of all time.

This was such an interesting series and it ended perfectly. It also came out at a time that was counter-cultural to the whole "every male is a bigot and racist" thing that was being mass-broadcast at the time

One of the best endings to a TV series of all time.

When Ray looks me straight in the eye and the music says "run" I literally want to jump off the couch and flee the scene. It's like he's telling me to get moving because he doesn't want a witness for what he's about to do. I've never been caught so off guard by a fourth wall break, like all of a sudden I'm right there in the car with those two yobs and he's giving me a chance to get away. That eye contact gives me chills every time.

Part of me *really* wanted to see that double take down but this quite literally couldn’t have been a better ending.

I swear that smile at the end was the scariest I have seen - right up there with Rutger Hauer's in the Hitchhiker and Freddie's .... perfect interpolation of a music score. A very strong ending.

They picked the wrong bloke

Mr. Inbetween did the best thing it could have possibly done, it ended when it needed to end. See television is full of shows that drag on way longer than they should in a brazen attempt to squeeze out as much money as possible. When this happens the audience can usually pick up on it. We all that feeling when a beloved shows’ soul is ripped out and it becomes a husk of what it once was. Mr. Inbetween strayed away from this business model, the opposite direction actually. The creators didn’t try to stretch this story out for another two or three seasons to cash in on a series that literally just hit its peak. No, it’s crystal clear from the pilot all the way to the finale that this is a story about Ray Shoesmith AKA The Magician.

This is a perfect ending... leaves options for when they start writing season 4... because this shows popularity went up 1000% thanks to youtube shorts showing us yanks in the US these clips... with me it all started with the first short I ever saw... the scene of the ice cream cone incident with the 2 "blokes" and his daughter... After a couple more i looked up the show and was hooked... no way they just leave it there... this was actually his passion project and he did a few low budget kinda sloppy "episodes" like 10 years ago... or a pilot I may be wrong... and it didn't get any support... the series was big down in aussie land... but now the rest of the world wants more of Ray... he's like the realistic version of John Wick

Months later those two blokes were found in those woods. Deader than 4 fried chickens.

It was so thoughtful of them to take Ray out to a nice, quiet location, and on a rainy night where the damp soil will make it easier to dig a couple of holes.

Then ending was so good, it was like saying you guys ( audience ) knows what's about to happen so theirs no point watching then ends the show, 10/10 sho2 absoulty love it

To bad this ended would have loved a 4th and final season.
