If it comforts you, the Side Stories might be another universe - meaning the girls will just continue to be happy within this universe :D The girls in the main game either weren't allowed to bond by the game since they were supposed to have conflicts so the player is forced to pick sides, or it's related to Monika. She mentiones in Act 3 that she knew SOMETHING was off, though she couldn't put her finger on what exactly until the player arrived. Therefore, due to her disconnection to her own world and the people around her, she most likely didn't bond with her clubmembers as much, which - in return - led to them not bonding as much as here between each other, either. Either way, I love the Side Stories! Great playthough :3
