Update- many of you in the comments made some good suggestions so I went ahead and ordered a replacement to have another run at it under more favourable conditions. If you have further ideas for testing, please leave a comment below. In this video, I test this high-power Amazon-purchased buck converter to see if it can serve in my 3-D printing farm. Spoiler alert, I blew it up; switch transisto...

Oh man, that's like a Dreamland for boys ❤
a simple way to spend 100h printing and assembling a 2'x2' drawer. worth it.
well to be fair, its actually just sending files to the printer about 7 times before going to bed and sometime before I get home from work the next day 15 hours of print is done. I have 3 printers. 100 hours sounds like a lot but it wasnt a long time for 3 machines.
$16 - "This release is for all Innovator’s Support Patrons and above. If you’re not yet at this tier, you can upgrade today or one time purchase it to unlock this game-changing addition to SteinTrack!"
Making more plastic shit in a plastic shit choked planet.
Awesome project! Next time you go to make a short though I'd suggest lowering the volume of the music so we can hear you better.
If the problem is the user moving the mouse too quickly, then the _actual_ problem is not the user moving the mouse too quickly...
Great reviews! I'm also trying to decide between the Bambu P1S and the Anycubic Kobra S1...
I've seen a lot of discussions about how the Anycubic Kobra S1 is just a copy of the Bambu. I think that's a bit monopolistic. As consumers, we should look at this rationally-competition in the market is a good thing, and I support Anycubic!
I'm looking into it too, and to be honest, it’s not stressing me out. Multi-color printing opens up a lot of options! The Anycubic Kobra S1 is really tempting, especially given its price.
For me, Anycubic Kobra S1 is a good choice with its good price. Only 399$...
I've been checking out a ton of reviews lately, and I'm curious: which one’s better, the Bambu P1S or the Anycubic Kobra S1
Song?
what filament were you using for the grifinity containers?
@@yukiris7497 this is bambu lab petg hf :)
I do that for my Ender 3 as well and check the belts ass well
But confused on the patron page. What is the tier 2 membership? It's not listed on the membership page
@@djweaver30125 You know, you are absolutely right. Nobody ever pointed it out before! Thank you - its fixed now :)
@leckiestein thanks
you could of bought that for 99 cents waist of time and filament
@@GameLab_Studio "waist"?
I love the idea. But I've got...SO much gridfinity stuff. I suppose I'm falling for the sunk cost fallacy though. I'll print some up and fiddle. If I love it love it then an "adapter layer" print will probably be next up :) Thanks o/
I still have some gridfinity stuff at work. For me, its not an all or nothing approach. I did however scrap all the gridfinity bins I had originally printed for this drawer haha
Do you have a tutorial video . I just subscribe
Hey Jesse, thanks for the sub! This project has evolved so much since posting this and the followup tutorial so Im making additional videos that will be out soon but this one below should get you mostly up to speed :) ua-cam.com/video/dQp48l9V6gk/v-deo.html
so can i just put a wiper on the bed and thats it, no coding needed?
Haha, if only. But no, you have to tell the machine what to do one line of code at a time (G-code)
@leckiestein could you please provide it, I don't want to do the one which is directly next to the wiper, only on the print bed as I don't want to drill holes 😂
@@Curiouz_Creator the code I did for this was really rough and when so many asked for it I really wanted to provide a solution that had more flexibility to be used during the print and this one is pretty limited so SteinWipe was born. There were also some issues with crashing if you print from the handy app as there is literally an obstruction in a tool path. But Ill do a post about this one again once I get the SteinWipe project finalized; every now and then I do get a few who dont want to drill holes and if there is enough interest I can revisit this simpler version and iron-out the code to be better suited.
@@leckiestein shit i already stuck it to the plate😅
A message popped up that it was worth lubricating the Y-axis, should I lubricate the other axes with this message?
@@MelOmaHcss yes, lube all axis once a month as per Bambu's documented maintenance routine :)
Question: what happens if I start a print from the Bambu Handy app? As it does not use the modified Start-Gcode, does it collide with the wiper pad?
So, do one have to subscribe to your pateon to get access to the files? The nozzle wipe is one area Bambu could have done SO much better, and I'd like to add this mod.
@@mikehiler6076 Hi Mike! Thanks for the awesome feedback! At the moment as the project unfolds, yes it is only available on my Patreon but you dont have to subscribe; you can one-time purchase any of the listings for your X1 or P1 printer and they will receive regular updates as the project unfolds :) I do post regularly to the patrons about the progress and actively use their feedback to shape the software side - which has progressed far more than what was shown in this video!
Looks amazing.. Which filament did you use?
@@erdemergaz6987 this one is Bambu PETG HF

Wow amazing detail
I smear grease all over my printer every 2nd time it prints tbh i just like lubricating things
It would be nice if Bambulab can correct the not wiping good enough after a pause or issue in an update. It shouldn’t require us modifying the g code.
Thats not really the only issue I have tho so Id be modifying the code anyway.
Do you have a link to the a1 wiper for the p1s?
Sorry to sound lame but why would we need this? Serious question
what's the name of the music?
A1 automatically does this

I am getting the following error if I am slicing PLA filament in Orca slicer with version 29.12.24. I set every steinswitch to true. PETG slices without any trouble Failed to generate G-code for invalid custom G-code. change_filament_gcode Parsing error at line 18: Referencing a vector variable with a negative index {if long_retractions_when_cut[previous_extruder]} ^ Please check the custom G-code or use the default custom G-code.
There was a comment on a tool change in the version you are using. Some versions of slicers dont like it. There is an updated file you can download from the same listing. Or you can go to the tool lines and just delete the comments ie: T{initial_extruder[0]} " ; delete this comment" any line that starts with a "T" should have nothing after the call so clear the line from ";" onwards.
@@leckiestein I used orca v2.1.1 where this error occured. I updated to 2.2.0 both versions are not fuctional. Bambu Studio works. If I search for the line T{initial_extruder[0]} in the code I do not get any results. the only line with T{..} is T{nozzle_temperature_range_high[initial_extruder]} The last version on Pateron is "Last File Update: Dec 29 2024" and that is the one I am using. Thanks for the fast reply
@@YxyronY Do you have an AMS on your machine?
@@leckiestein yes
@@YxyronY Ah, ok this makes more sense now. Im in the final phase of the AMS Beta Start code. I guess you didnt see the: "non-AMS" in the listing photo or the top of the listing with: "***Important notes/updates*** This system has currently only been tested on the P1 series without AMS. X1C and AMS compatibility will be coming soon along with more features! So keep an eye out for updates posted here :)" haha, no worries, if you can send me a DM on Patreon, I can get you copy of the Beta code for your machine. Final code will likely be out next week after I get some feedback. I released a version today so we will see how that goes.
i went to a 1 dollar shop and after 10 min got a better thing made in china, por.... 4 dollars!!!
Post pictures or video or it didnt happen lol
have you printed Dummy 13?
Very cool.
100 hours? 😂
Only lmao
Thanks for sharing man. I couldn’t agree more. I started my UA-cam journey 3 weeks ago after years of being a videographer and producing content for other people. It already feels like one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I love how bad 20 mm is for literally everything 😂😂
quality🫡
What about X1C 😢??? Plz
@@AhmedAbdelaal-by1lr I've been posting regularly about the progress to Patreon and then I jump over to UA-cam and sometimes I forget that not everybody sees it haha. I'm on the brink of having a beta release for code for XC1.
you're the goat. 💯. where did you study the gcode? i want to make my own custom gcode or be able to modify others to suit my needs. maybe I'll start by looking at your code for now.
@@Culturephile0 Hi there! And thank you, you might be in luck! Ive had a few requests to make a Gcode tutorial for this kind of thing so I offered my Patreons a Masterclass on the topic; if we can pool enough people together to make it worthwhile to make such a lengthy video, I will produce such a beast. Were around 60 votes now. I will start working on the video when we get to 100 :) I went to school for general machinist and machine programming then worked many jobs as a machine op/programmer. Ive written MANY NC files haha. Currently I work as a product designer and I oversee the manufacturing process which requires me to write a lot of code for a lot of different types of machines.
Thanks! I broke the cover
You should lubricate the block, not the rail.
