SuperPhantom Outside Loop Aerobatics
Which motor were you running? Heated gear?
Where’d he get them sails made?
Is this guy still with us? Wow
Damn… You must have stop eating for weeks to get that power to weight ratio for that performance.
Very cool!
Awesome!
I'd love to be able to do this!
too bad you can't fold the wings on them
Beautiful plane. RV grins all round
😱💪😱💪😱💪
I want one!
На ето с телефона сиотреть без памперсов невозможно... Боаво пилоту и конструктору, насьолько надежная машина получилась! Ей плевать на висоту)))))
Very nice !
Hi Earnie what engine do you use
RIP ernie, he died shortly after this video was made as his microlight wing collapsed mid-air.
Hmm. I don't think so!
Stones!
Rocket?
What Motor you using?.....I see the tuned exhaust....special carb for inverted?
And we do we get one of these? What motor is on it ?
Sweet bird and excellent flying! I'm thinking about putting together a super phantom myself. Does anyone ever fly with a bailout rig?
ha! have you ever tried getting in and out of one? its a squeeze, in an emergency i don't think anyone's getting out, especially with the extra gear on... also that cockpit is comfortable but does not have an abundance of spare room, bringing in extras gear would probably make it uncomfortable. i flew one with a BRS parachute which is a reasonable alternative
Good
Are used to fly a phantom with a beef up kit on it and a Rotax 503. I never went a damn place in it but a logged over 1000 hours playing just like you. You obviously have more horsepower because I couldn’t do the prop hangs that you do but I used to love slipping it sideways down the runway first one wheel than the other. I took it over 10,000 feet a couple times. I really love to find a hole in the clouds and spin down through them. That was absolutely the most fun I ever had. You really take me back to my younger days. It’s good to see somebody ring one out like it supposed to be done. Really enjoyed the video
My mind is fucking blown after seeing this
Thats crazy! I was expecting one of the tubes to fold in half from the G- Forces
this is couldbe an artic cat snow mobile engine 800cc CTEC2 engine at 160hp, if not could be the 600cc version at 120hp, water cooled, EFI and direct injection. other options are rotax ETEC 600cc or 800cc engines in ski-doo snowmobiles. but if its pre 2107 its the suzuki engine built for artic cat, wish i knew more.
And later that day he had to remove the engine so he could cut his grass.
lawn mower require 3.5 hp to cut grass, this aircraft is about 110 hp, haters are so under educated
Beep beep zip Bang!
That is not an outside loop
Impressive as these stunts may be, if I were to attempt aerobatics, it would be on an aircraft designed for aerobatic stresses, not on an ultralight. Hope he has a ballistic chute.
9+ / 6- ultimate G rating IS designed for aerobatic stresses. The plane in this video does have a BRS.
is it a rotax 582?? i wish folks would do a video walk around of aircraft before take off and actually talk to the camera,
We haven't seen anything on phantom for 3 years now.? I just bought an older phantom in need of TLC and a full restoration. you haven't responded to any ones comments on here and dont expect to see one for me as well..LOL well I can try to ask one question. do you think adding the flap option will be a good idea for a newbie? I called factory and they said it wouldn't tame it much, says no change to roll rate when adding flaps, i was kinda hoping it would. any tips for a newbie dealing with phantom? mine is from the late 80's I believe, will completely update it to new standards. going to put a v-twin 4-stroker on it hopefully like phantom recommends like valley engineering twin 750cc to 800cc at about 40-50hp or more hope you still are flying your phantom, love to hear an update. you build and fly the most bad ass phantom ive seen so far.
what engine and what rotor blades are you using ????
Makin this shi look easy since 1983...
The first outside loop in a Phantom was in 1984 in Lake Elsinore Ca. by a pilot named Jack Britton . He later produced the variant named Hurricane . He finally died testing a Hurricane on floats (doing aerobatics) at the Colorado river in 1989.
no old bold pilots
I do Aerobatics in my Ultralight and I accept the risks. Fully well know what can happen. I understand "there are old pilots and there are bold pilots but there are no old bold pilots" "It's better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing, than a long life spent in a miserable way" Alan Watts
I flew with Jack, awesome pilot
Wow! That's nice!
That motor sounds very healthy.....Braaaaaaaaappppp
Wow,just one word,"WOW".
That is pretty remarkable flying in how much does one cost cost?
They don't sell the Dominator anymore used 12-18 for single seater dual seater very rarely come up for sale
That looks pretty fun!
Say, that's pretty good
That's an ass kicker right there!
I want one how much?$
Your gonna die in this thing doing that. Matter of time.
And what makes you think that??
How you make fuel tank design for acrobatic like that?
Nice take off, very short 👍
How much power does it have?
How much HP engine you have used in this aircraft please tell me
so, so dangerous, no margin for error... start to roll and you are dead nose up (down toward the ground) and you are dead. I've done it, crashed and walked away... yes, walked "a way" down the field to pick up my crashed remote control airplane.
Damn nice shooting. Are those light reloads you are using? Have you changed the recoil spring any?
