I have the same GoPro hero 12 but I’m having trouble with the colours. Any tips on how to get it like yours. Great vid!
Thanks mate, I appreciate it! I shoot in flat colour and colour grade in post on PremierePro. If you search "Colour Grade GoPro", you should find an abundance of videos explaining this process - also consider using ND filters for shooting on bright days and a lower shutter speed to get a more natural looking motionblur (not necessary but that's how I record).
Hey yo that looks like fun. I live on the gold coast about 2 hours away can I come riding with you guys some time ?
Did it easy
Great Trails ...
Cool 😎
Awesome stuff mate. 💯💯. Appreciate the content. Subbed straight up. One tip…. up your contrast a smidge brighter. Just a bit dark esp on some vids. 👍🏻👍🏻💯
Apreciate it man! I get lazy with adjusting levels sometimes 😅
Straight Bike sound an trails ect is mint to man. ….. 💯💯. I live literally down the road from glassy and just ride there. Wanna get back into what you’re doing. Hit up some different spots. 👍🏻
So fun but not fun….. 🤣🤣. 💯👍🏻.
When it's that muddy, you just have to embrace it. 😂
Would love to see your camera setup! I like how I can see the bike and the trail fully 🤘
Cheers mate! It's mounted upside down onto my helmet visor and the GoPro itself is angled quite far down. Also it is worth noting, I am using Hyperview (widest field of view on GoPro Hero 12) to get all of the track and bike in frame.
@@LeslieDemeter thanks g!
looks good
Making new tracks
I know right
Wrong colour bike i reckon
Me too
Hey mate can I ask where abouts this track is from twin view Rd?
are these 4wd trails you're riding? bloody epic, I need me some new kit and to fix up the old wr450 for some more enduro
Yea mate, I think all the trails in this video are 4wd tracks. The start is "The Canyon".
I was laughing at the gumby trying to get up the hill. Then I saw the bike backflip and realised it was me 😂
HAHAHA Thats gold 😂🤙🏼
Did you go solo ?
Yeah mate, I often used to go to Gap Creek solo.
@@LeslieDemeter how do you find it solo? I got mates who ride. But we usually ride at his place cause he has jumps and ramps ect. But I wanna change and they don’t wanna ever go anywhere else lol
Riding with mates always makes it more fun, but when I went solo I found myself talking with people out near the tracks and finding riders who rode at a similar pace. Otherwise I would just ride lap after lap, like a 15 - 20 minute moto then head back to the carpark for a rest - there is useable phone reception there. Then ride a bit of trails - all pretty short at Gap Creek and no crazy obstacles or wild hillclimbs.
Awesome video man 👌🤙 Were you just too heavy on the front brake when you had that little stack?
Thanks mate! Yeah, spot on. Hard on the front brakes and locked the front wheel as the fork rebounded.
i will be going there this weekend as a beginer trail rider, any tips?
Take plenty of water with you 😂 it's stinkin hot and the trails out at Manar Park are fairly long. I'm heading out there this weekend too 🤙🏼 The weekend can't come soon enough!
@@LeslieDemeterthank u man hope to see u there!🤘🤘
How do u get in there?
Beerburrum Woodford Rd. On Google Maps there's a couple of spots along the road labelled "Big Red Carpark" and "Beginners Carpark". Start from there. Navigating from beginners carpark is probably more difficult. Big Red Carpark is along the main powerlines track, there's heaps of trails around there.
Where abouts is this sand dune? 😊
Big Sandhills, Moreton Island. 😊
That's the way 😊
what trail is that
Green trail mate. Find it at the top of the hill behind the little practice tracks that are behind the VMX track.
@@LeslieDemeter thanks mate look like a ball im oing this weekend
Oh shit thats me in red on the ktm at 4:56 ahhaha
Nice riding and Edit Leslie, was cool to meet you out there. I like your angles of Ed on the YZ 2 smoker 👍
Thanks mate! Great meeting you guys! I'm no professional cameraman but had fun trying. 🤘🏼 Keep riding hard!
What gopro do you use bud?
GoPro Hero 10 mate. I've seen many people complain about overheating and their GoPro's shutting down mid recording but I haven't had those issues myself.
Good job great riding
I think I saw you there
Nice video. U got me in the background of your video on the kawi
had me worried for a sec at 3:05
What camera do you use? I really like this quality. Also really appreciating how fast you are.
GoPro Hero 10, recording in 4K at 30fps. The lower frame rate helps to convey the sense of speed. I am now looking at experimenting with shutter speed for better motionblur and maybe raising to 60fps now that I have larger SD cards and the "enduro batteries" (the white ones). Shutter speed was set to auto for this recording.
Have you been to qmp
Yes. I need to man up and go there more often. I'm not super comfortable riding ruts - hence why I've been riding at Gap Creek so often.
@@LeslieDemeter I went to qmp not to long ago and there is no ruts it’s good just don’t do the trails because me and my mates did blue trail and it was mapped wrong so we ended up on red
@@Mxmotocross228 The state of the trails at QMP is what turned me away from them last year. Granted, they have been taking a beating from the seemingly unrelenting rain and storms. For a while only one loop was open, which was a mix of two loops, then they bumped their fees up. That's when my mates and I had all agreed that enough was enough and decided to go elsewhere instead - Gap Creek, Manar Park, the RTCB rides, so on.
@@LeslieDemeter Yeah it’s got more expensive I’m going to Gap creek soon hopefully it has better trails than qmp
Been waiting for this video to come out ever since they changed the track. Looks great! Quick question, what gear are you hitting the table top/step up in (where the triple used to be)? It's the only jump I struggle with - I have the same model rmz.
Do you mean the jump at the 2:00 mark? I don't recall there being a triple.
@@LeslieDemeter yeah, that's the jump. I thought it was a triple before they changed the track. Maybe I've just been calling it the wrong thing this whole time.
@@AtTheTrack Yeah right, I know what you mean now exactly, that triple setup was pretty gnarly - I've only seen one person actually triple up that. Anyways, I found 3rd gear to come up short for the second jump (the step up). Just runs out of rpm and power and I don't feel comfortable nailing an upshift in that section. I basically try to jump as small/short as I can on the small double out of the turn and then pop the clutch in 4th to get the drive up the face to clear the step up. However, this often gets me into a nose high situation where I must brake tap because I'm still accelerating as I leave the jump face. I feel like I should try carrying more momentum and really soak up the double and maybe then it might be easier. Other riders have reported similar experiences with that jump.
@@LeslieDemeter Thanks for the info. Good to know I'm not the only one struggling and that others are having similar problems. I reckon I'll try hitting the double a bit short and shifting into 4th before the face of the step up.
Crazy man. 😂
My dream bike what year is that 2017? And how does it handle rmz250
It's a 2014. Everyone I have spoken to has complimented its handling, I personally don't have the experience to compare it to other bikes as this is my first bike (owned for almost 2 years).
Where is this???
854 Palms Rd, Cooyar. Between Cooyar and Yarraman. We stayed there over the long weekend and I rode on Saturday just to check the place out.
@@LeslieDemeter looks awesome!!
First
Awesome trip!!!
How often do you go out there
I usually ride about once every three weeks. I sometimes go to QMP, but mostly Gap Creek. I also go to as many RTCB trail rides as I can. I'll most likely be at Gap Creek tomorrow. I park at the day use area at the back next to the pitbike track, come say hi if you like and we can do some laps!
@@LeslieDemeter will do I'll be a bit because I'm coming out of a injury
Hey, mind telling me what camera you're using?
Using a GoPro Hero 11 with a foam wind cover (I think I had the cover off for a part of this vid). I haven't had any overheating issues with it - the GoPro's are a bit notorious for it. I only record 30fps 1440p.
Do you have any vids of the easiest beginner tracks for adults to ride and learn?
Hey mate, the easiest track to ride and learn at Gap Creek for adults I would say is the VMX track (across the highway from the office). That is the track I'm on in the first 52 seconds of this video, then from 2:30 to 5:40 is that same track again. I believe the pit bike track is limited to maximum 230cc (maybe less?). You can certainly ride the VMX track at a slower pace - without getting air off the jumps etc. The faster riders will usually leave space and make their way around you.
@@LeslieDemeter hey dude thanks for the reply. Yeah cool that track looks awesome. So I won't be pissing other riders off if I'm a newbie and taking the track slow? I wouldn't be going in peak season over the holidays, only on a normal weekend or Friday.
@@jonzx6145 The most annoying thing you could do is pin the throttle on the straight when a faster rider is trying to overtake. Just be self-aware, stick to one side of the track when someone is approaching from behind (be predictable) and let the faster riders pass. Once they're clear, you can do as you please. Go as fast or slow as you want. When I let riders pass, I will usually move to one side of the track and point to the side that I want the rider behind to pass on. Do this if/when you feel comfortable riding with one hand. You'll get a hang of mx track "etiquette" after a couple of outings. If there is heaps of people on the track, you can just rest near the track entrance and wait till the faster people tire themselves out and leave to rest. Oh, and go slow (walking pace) through the tunnel under the highway at Gap Creek. I unfortunately caused a rider to stack it there and it was 100% my fault. I came through the tunnel too fast and he had no time to react when he saw me pop out. He locked his front brake and washed out.
Hey mate how often do you go out because you look fun to ride with
very good very nice
looks like heaps of fun
Seems like it's super hard packed already
Seems like Gap Creek always is.
You almost died at 10:10!!!!
😬 That thought passed through my mind also. I landed back on the bike with my left foot on the seat and crouched on my left leg to get my centre of gravity down. I was either going to save it or have to kick myself off the bike... Overall, was a great day out!
@@LeslieDemeter looking at the shadows it looks like you had both feet on the seats. Looking at that I am never going to go on a mx track hahahha
@@LeslieDemeter The same thing happened too me last time I went out their also 2:27 coming down that hill going into those rut’s I lost control and my bars started too move side to side really fast and apparently I went over the bars going about 50kmph and flew about 3 meters off my bike the bars were really bent and I broke my front number plate lucky for me gap creek had some new pro taper bars at the office so I was able too finish up my day of riding.
My stack at 1:06🤣🤣🤣
As you can see, I ran out of talent at 7:20 also. Completely forgot about that slip up haha
Hahahah good one.
Awesome to watch what I missed out on
I enjoyed stalling on the hill under the bridge and falling on the barbed wire fence glad they moved it after the fact
