Ness is the easiest since you only have to play 5 vs mode matches. It'll literally take a couple minutes if you just walk off the side right away (or a few more if you actually play normally lol)

It always baffled me how Wario was unlockable in this game instead of Koopa Troopa.

while i got funky really fast on my second license, i think the easiest ones where king boo, diddy or birdo. mostly birdo imo, i remember a load of kids jobbing as her harshly on online just to play as a secret character lol the thing about birdo was that you only really needed to win some online races or literally just play 16 time trial tracks
