Titus and his version of Rockin the Boat seems like it was the true and only highlight of this version. Everyone else just sounds sleepy, slow, or even just lacking talent. Every other version has so much more energy and amazing voices. I only checked out this video out of morbid curiosity from seeing the comments under the 2009 Tony’s performance, which also seemed to be a mess in and of itself. The film and ‘92 versions will definitely stand as the best versions to me.

Interesting. The "Rockin' the Boat" number in the 1990's production was blocked so that none of the chorus was blocked by the principals. This one looks amateurish in comparison. And what's with the two actors spending so much time in profile looking at one another during the "I've Never Been in Love Before" number? Hello--there's an audience who paid to see you. Open up the blocking, why don't ya?

Lol I kinda understand why ppl think the show's boring. That's what I thought at first but after watching some eps I thought it's not too bad, maybe it's not full of dramas but it's a decent show. & I feel bad for the old actress but thank god Lauren took her place, she's really bubbly & funny.

i like dax acting in drama with comedic elements. i believe that to be his forte. before parenthood, he was sometimes obnoxious in the super comedy comedies, but i've learned to love him since then :) yay parenthood! haha

I seem to only see comments that are unkind to Dax for whatever stupid reason but since watching Parenthood and I have become a fan. Crosby's my favorite character on the show, and as this interview proves, he's got GREAT taste. Besides GG, I know he is also a Friday Night Lights die-hard - so that makes him infinitely cool in my book.
