Great evening in Philharmonie in Haarlem with Sven Hammond Big Band giving an inside view in the huge number of great songs and the colorful live of Ray Charles. Check their Album and go to the show as long as it is still possible. Great performance and great singers and musicians to complete this great project.

Great show and the longer they play the more they feel at Home. Always difficult to play at Patro Cafe to catch the audience but they succeeded it very well. This song from their brand new Album ‘Nothing Ever Happens around Here’ shows that it definitely is going to happen here in Haarlem. Very Cool Canadian Folk music with a lot of fans in Amsterdam. A petty some fans gets drunk but that’s the best you can do. Revival of the ancient band with Jake Styles solo. Although experienced musicians it feels like a very potential new fresh sound. Most of the music straight forward and we would love to see them back during and after their tour.

Martin has been out for someyears. Then I believe this chap came in. Then he was out and another guy was in. Now that guy is out and this guy is (back) in. The previous chap was good, though this guy really kicks the band along. As someone else here notes, Martin isn't interested in touring. And recent Pretenders dates in the UK and America have included a lot of smaller venues because, as Chrissie noted in an interview, the high cost of touring made it necessary to play clubs between larger gigs including opening for Guns & Roses in order to pay the bills. Not that she minds; she said she loves playing smaller gigs.
