I am an Old School kinda guy when it comes to Jazz/Smooth Jazz. And I say that to say that Mr. George Duke's energy and heart was still put into the session with Mr. Stanley Clarke, even though he was visibly sick. Respect for you Mr. Duke, and may you continue to live on through your music.

Something I see about the ARTIST I LOVE, George Duke: he was one of a very RARE BREED of musicians who saw music TOTALLY from the INSIDE. Miles Davis could look at music like this, but he was a PERSONALITY. An EGO if you will ( nobody comes b4 Miles with me)....George was very LEAR-NED in the SCIENCE of music and all of the MANY things it could say and create. He didnt live througj his stage or public i.d. HE WAS JUST THE TRUTH. Probably Bernie Worrell from Parliament/Funkadelic is a lot like him. I will miss his Spirit here on earth very much. The guitar tuning was so bad he stumbled at the beginning of his solo after his vocals! He kept looking down at the words printed out in large letters.However, he is one of the best Innovators to play the guitar!

I love George Benson since the seventies, but can no one else hear him searching for the right scales on his solo on this number, , he struggled for a good while, that's why he ran down the 1st string early on in the solo to find the scale, nice to know as a fellow guitarist that he messes up occasionally.
