I use the channel to document our adventures; mostly goats, but some family vacations and other fun things that happen. I like having an archive of my own material for my college courses.

Shipping cull cows with a short alley load out
Poor calf, I hope he recovers well. However, IT IS NOT AN ABSCESS, IT IS A CYST, WITH THE INTERNAL SAC THAT ABSOLUTELY MUST BE REMOVED, OTHERWISE IT WILL REFORM. You know it too, better than I do. Do a good job ❤. Povero Vitello, spero che guarisca bene. Comunque NON È UN ASCESSO, È UNA CISTI, CON LA SACCA INTERNA CHE DEVE ASSOLUTAMENTE ESSERE RIMOSSA, ALTRIMENTI SI RIFORMERÀ. Lo sapete anche voi, meglio di me. Fate un buon lavoro ❤.
I have a newly purchased jersey who charges me every time I try to lead her- could you tell me how to handle that situation? Thank you!
Hey I’m sorry to hear that! It sounds like she needs some lessons on respecting you and not thinking you are a herd mate. You must be very firm about your personal space with her so you don’t get hurt. Maybe you could post a video and tag me so I could see what you mean?
Wow great video and demonstration, thank you for the information
You’re welcome! I’m so glad you found it valuable. We really like this way of training 😃
Very nice
Nice
That’s gonna come back because you didn’t take out the sack!
What do you mean take out the sac? I’ve never heard of that
Abscesses don't have sacs. Cysts have sacs, Abscessed cysts have sacs. This is not like a cyst at all. It's an infection/virus goats can give to each other
Thanks! That explains a lot!
@@marisaschuebel9189 those things have a sac were that liguid is in! watch dr pimple popper
You are totally confused!
I love that! I had no idea they hung out in families! So cool
I made a little Goat friend in Mexico. He was really the only friend I had while I was over there. One day he was gone. I asked everyone whete he went, but was ignored. No one wanted to tell me that we had already eaten him. My mother came up.to me with a large smile and told me the awful news. Its no wonder that I love animals the way I do. They are not capable of being mean and nasty. They just dont have that in them..its amazing!
I can totally appreciate this story and yes we love our critters too 🥰
What is it? What exactly is it?
It’s a virus that makes these little sores. It will go away in a couple weeks and they will be an immune to it. In the mean time, we just make sure they are eating and drinking ok
What did you end up doing?
We orphaned the little doeling and bottle fed her and the mom was so weak we had to put her down ☹️
@@marisaschuebel9189 Oh no that’s so sad! Did you confirm the Johne’s diagnosis? I have a house goat that’s had crazy medical problems and she just got retested for johnnes. I’m hoping it’s negative. She was tested for it two years ago and was negative.
We didn’t confirm the diagnosis, but we have in the past and I’m pretty confident with her symptoms that it is in fact Johne’s. I hope your house goat is ok! Johne’s is an awful disease.
Could she just have a worm load?
Gotta make sure you get that orf orf
Love seeing the kids all pissed off cuz they can’t nurse welcome to the real world buttercup
Aw I’m glad you enjoyed it!!
Love the goats dogs & peeps !! & the good ol’ chuckle at the end😍 A Eleanor. Uncle got me to watch.
Can we make friends
Tagging scene is only best moment
I am looking at doing something similar down here in Oregon but have a few questions. How old do the kids need to be before they can go with their mom? From your experience how much land does a goat clear on average?
Hey that’s really great! Send me an email schuebel.marisa@gmail.com and we can visit more! We like the kids to be two weeks old but some projects they need to be six weeks old it really depends. As far as land it really really depends on what the vegetation is like. We have an online course with Lakeland college and alberta lamb that I’m teaching that’s opening in February specifically for targeted grazing!
Poor goat.
I would "scream like a girl" (unlike this one)😂
Why didn’t you put it in a bowl and give it to HIM???!!!
Sorry for the offensive feeding method here 🫣. Our goats are a few miles from home and I didn’t have anything with me to scoop or feed. The feeding method is called scatter feeding and it stimulates animal’s natural instincts and releases dopamine for them in the seeking and finding (or so I’m told.)
Girl, get a bowl FFS . The dog has grass in her mouth . So what you bring food in a shirt wow we all did this but a bowl is 1 $ at dollar store . Good lord, how stupid is this? You have a home too with bowls 🥣 I'm sure
For context, from what I can see this dog is a working dog. It lives outside with the herd of sheep protecting it. It's used to eating this way and there is nothing wrong with it. The dog probably also eats grass. The sheep legit eat grass off the ground, yall gonna cry about that?
OMG, is it too hard to have a bowl for him? I feed strays with bowls. This woman should have to eat her food with dirt and grass. She actually thought this was a good video?
You all would complain about almost anything
My dog eats too fast if he eats from a bowl so I do this as well lol what’s wrong with it ? 😂
@@MadsEmil-oc9evseems fine to me as long as your dog is happy and healthy🐕
you're gonna have a heart attack when you learn how 99% of animals eat in the wild...
It's actually better for the pup cause it's a natural way to get her to eat slower. Dogs eat grass and all sorts of stuff outside all the time, is eating the food off the grass so terrible when you think about it?
Scoop? 😂 you need a food bowl! Poor dog 😢
Poor thing
The goose neck portion is also extendable to accommodate shorter trucks
I saw that after and wondered about it! I’ve never used one like that and I figure it was probably seized up and I was as usual in a rush 😅 but I think I’ll try it next time this happens. Thanks!
What a cute dog 🥰
Why don't you get her a bowl or something
It’s a natural slow feed system 😉 we move through pasture pretty quickly so it’s always clean ground.
Awesome job! Not many folk nowadays dont have that kind of great common sense!
Haha thanks! My husband gave me the helpful advice ☺️ but I had to do the work 😅
Cute
She was just standing there like she owned the world 🥰
If you trust that setup your daddy taught you all wrong
It wasn’t my dad who told me to do it that way 🫣 what’s your recommendation?
Honest question, is your truck a 1500 and i'm guessing the other truck in question is a 3500?
Exactly nough said😮
Mine is a 1500 GMC and the other is a lifted 3/4 ton dodge.
@@marisaschuebel9189both will get the job done just fine lol. but the 3500 prob has a better time 😂
what a super video... im just starting out with halter breaking and this has been so so useful.. she really knows the cattle's behaviour and did very well in the pen with them. thanks
Thank you! It’s a proven method and yes I agree April has a way with her animals! She’s also great at explaining and helping people understand the method 😊
Chug, chug, chug, chug
I love the way they sound the most❤😮
The kids are actually inside the goats
Hahaha honestly sometimes when they are yelling I actually think it’s my own kids, the human kind 😅
Those little tails wagging get=s me every time. Baby goats are the most adorable critters
I know! The tail wags just make me smile 😊
Omg the cuteness ❤
Cute little rascals ❤❤❤❤
Thanks! I really enjoy them 😅😊
Love the happy tails
Aren’t they the best?! They make me smile 😊
It sounds like some of them are actually saying "milk!"! 😊
Hahaha that’s how my son calls them, he says here Milk Milk milk and they all come running
Wow, great video. All the details were super helpful for our family. We're breaking in a sweet little calf to be a milker. Thank you so much!
Great to hear! Have fun with your new calf. This is a sure way to build her trust 😊
❤ Since youtube isnt letting me "like" this video
How cute is this😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
The happy tail wags they have are so infectious, they always make me happy. 🥰💜
I raised goats as a kid. They are fun.
Omg how darn precious
That bucket feeder is kinda genius. Since they don't have a mama, it's good that they have you😌😌
Yeah it takes them a couple days to get used to the red nipples moving over from the bottle but it’s a game changer! Thanks for your kind words. I really do enjoy them :)
Aww, I love goats they’re so adorable. 🥰
I agree! They are the best!
