How does Double Trouble not keep a band together? They put together two great ones - Arc Angels and Storyville - and both only put out one album.
David Grissom and David Lee Holt were one of the best guitars duos I’ve ever seen, both had their own style and sound and jelled together perfectly…..
I seen Storyville many times in the late 90’s and early 2000’s and was astonished every time , what a great group of musicians and with Milford Milligan on vocals they were incredible 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Most underrated band I’ve ever seen I just found these guys it’s Feb of 2022
I was a teenager when this came out and I wore this album OUT back then. Still to this day I sit around and play this solo. It's one of my all time favorites for sure. Welcome to the party dude! David Grissom is an amazing player.
This and Arc Angels were my favorite Austin City Limits shows

Gotta be the best American Blues Rock guitar partnership out there in its day and a pleasure to see. Can’t figure why they didn’t continue even after a hiatus... SRV’s rhythm section were a huge part of his success evidenced in full here

The opening track "Good day for the blues" is a monster of a song. This live version kills the studio version. Have loved this song since I saw this original broadcast back in time. A tip of the hat to Storyville. A absolute gem of a show.
Wow! I saw this when it was originally broadcast, and it still sounds terrific to my aging ears. Great band!
Malford is such a gem. Makes me sad that Storyville didn’t play together longer and leave us more music. I miss what Austin was when it was still Austin.

Is this what we’ve come to? A great artist having to participate in a shallow meaningless Karaoke pantomime in an effort to gain exposure..dark times indeed for this art form. The new mainstream generations have marginalised it in favour of computer games and DJ’s. Sad for everyone really. Nothing better than watching and listening to real people making a statement Live on stage. It can take you to another plain of thought..... take you up...and bring you down to earth....
