If kurodil is not enraged you can break with decently high chance. If kurodil is enraged you cannot break without overdrive and even with overdrive it is hairy. That is why you do the nonsense at the beginning where rex runs around. Kurodil enrage is a fake art and he will use it asap, but if rex is his aggro target and rex is too far away then kurodil cannot enrage. I believe that is how it works.

I played it for an hour, thought it was fine, then forgot to play it. But it is very difficult for me to try new things. I'm told it is good, it seems like a very cosy game.

It may work, but I Believe blade art cool downs reset on blade switch. So it wouldn't be of huge benefit until maybe Rosa starts resisting break.

@@aakashbasu3219 wikia says it's possible to pass art recharge buff across blades. But on the other side it's duration and cooldown are not worth it unfortunately :( (15sec. Active and 30 on cooldown)

I believe humanoid hunter increases damage to Jin but not malos. So it may be worth using. The lance has no core chip. Strength up wouldn't do anything I think unless you really care about the two autoattacks at the beginning. You can give Dex up maybe

Breaking elma will delay ghost factory, just as breaking any enemy will prevent them from using an art for a moment. This gives enough time to topple during which, of course, elma cannot use any arts

Rex is likely similar or better, using patroka to break and Pandoria to launch. You can see yintse99's 4:00 run for that strategy. However Nia provides the benefit of fiora to boost crit rate for berserker slash spam and the lv1 dot setup (the special has crit damage effect so extra crit rate makes it basically damage cap twice). Adenine also provides some extra damage from the dark lance smashing and a little extra telos damage because elemental weakness. Patroka breaker would provide more since the art spam is not near damage cap before launch. Nia also has faster comboing because her break and launch art pretty fast. Telos has 700% damage from two ally deaths from the orb blowing up in wave 2 and from killing lots of enemies. You can see my 4:00 run for how that is accomplished. For the jumping if you just Google "telos jumping" you will find a trick to do it faster by going to some place with a ceiling to make the jumps shorter

(is nia more reliable for combos than tora? because i do recall your video on tora refusing to launch the enemy, i wish he listened to us. he seems like he’s only good when playing as him or is that just me?)

@@catalyst539 Yes tora AI is unreliable, his AI script causes him to fail to driver combo a lot. Nia should always switch to fiora and break with this setup, then switch to adenine and launch as soon as possible. i believe if equipped nia has a 25% chance to use avian spin but that is not an equipped art. the tradeoff is of course that nia's break art gets break resisted more often but that is not usually a problem here. so tora control is really the only reliable way to combo with him. more importantly nia (and her blades) provide support abilities that qtpi cannot which is why non tora breakers are often better.
