good evening, I also switched from the ds35 70mm to the night stalker 4k 100mm, as visual quality it has improved a lot, but in mine I notice a lower sensitivity in the dark without illuminator, in the ds35 you could see something, with this in the dark without illuminator it is completely black, have you noticed the same thing in yours? I also read that there are two versions with different 4k sensors, could you give me the serial number of yours? Yours seems better as daytime vision, on mine you can see more pixels at high magnifications.
They aren’t designed to run without a IR on at night - the pixels are smaller too in this model - harder to make them sensitive so they will probably loose some light - we use IR when needed so don’t see anything between them in use There is a UK version and that’s around the IR light sometimes called Gen 2 (was in ds35 times)
is yours the 16mm or 11mm ?
It’s a 16mm 2.9x optical
Hi. Nice video on this Pard. I must admit its something im interested in especially doing a review on it on my channel here in the U.K by the look of it i think this would be perfect on my .22lr for rabbit shooting so can i ask for your honest opinion on whether you agree it would be suitable for this purpose. Liked and subscribed 👍
Yes but this is almost a past model now - replaced with pantera - my favs are the TD series and night stalker - currently also using the Landsat mini on a HMR which will be in videos soon
Thank you for the videos, very informative. In reference to earlier comments, yes, a clip-ons' zero should be checked after dismounting / mounting. But @owlopticsandoutdoors what about when using this unit as you say, as a scanner with QD mounts attached, then mounting to rifle as the scope itself, how effectively is zero retained in that scenario please? Thanks again!
I actually have a video on the MT-3/5 Mounts and did a test - PARD MT5 and MT3 Mounts - Review and Test ua-cam.com/video/fUGV_42a-L8/v-deo.html
@@owlopticsandoutdoors Awesome, thanks! Looks respectable for hunting as you say 👍
Let's wait for the video of the menu settings and field testing?!😱👍🔥🔥🔥
Working on zeroing video at moment
Meu amigo. Tira uma duvida mais qual vc indicaria entri elas 2
Ds35 its overall a better scope - newer design - 008 s is out of date now as is ds35, current is night stalker
Can we see pard predator review?
At some stage will do - we prefer dedicated scopes here as we don’t have rifles with forward rails generally and a dedicated with a QD rings is better than a front clip on
I have a question… If you want to put the scope to sleep or to hibernate can you short press the start button and does the scope go to sleep then? Then if you short press it again it wakes up with the illuminator back on? Also is the laser range finder invisible ir laser in 850nm or 940nm wave lengths or visible ir laser? Thank you
Yes short press Comes back in how it was before LRF can’t be seen - except my sensor itself as a white flash and there are 850 or 940 models
Leopard 256 👍👍👍
Hello. By your opinion what is maximum shooting range for hunting during the night with FD1?
It all depends on the conditions and the shooter, rifle, bullets, target size - I shoot red dots to 200y - if you can see and place the bullet accurately is the key - if you want to shoot further you need ballistics - so that’s as a dedicated scope, which case get the night stalker if you are intending on that and base it on the magnification range suitable
I have one more question! Do I have to zero thermal and night vision separately, meaning zeroing twice?
Yes What ever screen is on the main screen is the one you are zeroing
Do you know how to turn on the IR light? I enabled IR on, but nothing happens.
Be in the night mode (black and white) and then the small left hand button at back - in front of LRF button
@@owlopticsandoutdoors THANK YOU.
Stupid video, looking at the side edge of the chronograph the whole time.
The scope i quit goog but the ring following is not worth the alu they are made from
Yeah - I wish they weren’t there, they are extremely high, just use 30mm rings that suit your rifle and shooting style
Looking at this round for hunting. Looks like a great shot, how many meters would you say it ran before dropping.
Not really sure anymore - wasn’t far
Bonjour sauriez vous où l’on peut trouver le manuel en français svp?
Hi Try pard.com
How did you freeze the screen ?
Just change 1 digit on x or y then it freezes until you are done
im liking everything im seeing here, carry on friend. from texas...aka hog central lol
@ pard this is an amazing video im looking at one for coyotes im wondering if this scope can easy withstand a 223 rifle thank you
Yes it will and way more than that plus you have the 100 eye relief - see our videos with it on a 338 lapua - some 500 rounds on that
@owlopticsandoutdoors thanks so much
why are you using your phone to take the picture and not the scope itself?
The user view is round like a glass scope - so this gives the view that the user would see - the sensor is different shape
Boa tarde vc está usando o x da calculadora ?
Yes we use the internal ballistics of the scope for drop
@ muito obrigado !
Excellent video!! Clear, everything you need to know, nothing you don't. This is how all demo videos should be!
Love the Zoom feature! Want to get the Zoom Ocelot or this depending on price. iRay has a recoil mitigating scope mount I wish I could find I think would be good to pair with rifle scope like this.
Yeah they are neat with the 2 optical mag levels - don’t need a recoil mount - the ds and night stalker which are NV units live on our 338 LM improved for over 500 rounds and no issues - they are rated higher
I wonder for the screens used which seem like a step down on paper, being 800x800 vs other models being 1024x768. If the sensors are at 640 if it makes a difference or not. They do seem really neat and price you can't beat. I'm waiting for Pard to get their hands on 1480 sensors or make their thermal/night vision scopes into fusion scopes or get analog night vision.
No not a step down - the round eye piece is far more natural and with 100mm of eye relief makes it far nicer to use - 480 cores already in the pantera and ocelot scopes plus leopard handhelds - for fusion see the TD series been out for over a year
@@owlopticsandoutdoors I may be mistaken remembering the other models used round eye pieces when Pard compared their products to other similar scopes. I seen the TD and new Landsat but it looked like the only way to use it in a "fusion" sort of way is by using a Picture In Picture or PIP they call it, a window that displays a magnified image that can use the night vision module, daytime or thermal module in conjunction with main display.
Yeah its across most of their range now, started with DS35, yeah you use it a PIP - I’ve used ‘fused’ scopes before and they don’t work as well as you would think, also a parallax in them as the lenses aren’t at the same point - the PARD’s can be used with PIP either way or just as a main screen and flip between them - its not magnified unless you zoom it first - use the benefits of thermal to locate and night vision (or day) to ID
Just cut a video out on the eye relief PARD Scopes Eye Relief is 100mm and look how natural it is ua-cam.com/video/WXRmT2YuE0M/v-deo.html
Please can you get come footage of the 100mm scope at night. I have. DS35/70 and I’m on the fence to buy the nighstalker 4k
Will be doing some soon, generally the most common scopes are the 50 and 70 - in our country at least. The biggest step up with the 4K is the level of zoom you can use
@@owlopticsandoutdoors I think you’re right the increased level of zoom that can be used makes the the 70 make more sense. I’m looking forward to your footage. Here in the uk the night stalker isn’t getting great reviews which I’m puzzled by.
@Fieldsports_England I don’t get that - it’s a brilliant scope - but too often these ‘reviewers’ or influinzers (not a spelling mistake) are lead by something such as money, brand support or don’t have a clue about actual night hunting or try to make it specific to them which isn’t normal - I too could make any other brand look rubbish with a little bit of thought - have thought about doing a fake review on 2 products that are actually the same to prove that - we take real films in real field conditions - you tube isn’t really for us it’s mostly overseas viewers actually but we enjoy doing it so continue to do it - in November we are out for a few days deer hunting and will take a lot of footage then
Why dose the picture go funny when I use parallax?
Parallax is a focus sometimes called side or front focus - it brings the target and reticle into the same image - even without the pard it will do that
might be my computer but can't hear you. sorry
Just checked and sound is working
1 and done
how do you come out of the menu?
Just press the rangefinder button to back out
I am waiting for more detailed videos for this model
Good video. I know you’ll point me in the direction of the manufacturer but why don’t you guys ever tell us the most important information/question……. WHATS THE RRP!??
It’s on our website for New Zealand based - but a lot of viewers are from outside new New Zealand so I kept it generic plus if it changes it doesn’t make the video wrong either
Quais lunetas vc indicaria para usar uma pard 007 sp LRF pra ter uma boa nitidez anoite estou pensando em adquirir uma!!!!!!
My test scope is a meopta optika 6 works well and dials under the caps - but really if buying a glass scope as well consider a night stalker - day night, ballistics, 100mm eye relief
Can you mount it to a bump helmet?
No - not at least as a factory option
Z całym szacunkiem ale jaki sens ma powiększanie lunetą celowniczą pikseli na matrycy??? To tak jakby w aparacie matrycę umieścić przed obiektywem🤣
Correct :) - zero point - Front Clip ons have some place in the world, but QD Mounts are so good these days just swap the entire scope - or just run a Night Stalker day or night
Hello! A link where to order?
Owloptics.nz The ts31 has been replaced by the pantera though - videos coming on that soon
Which one is good use as scope? ft lrf thermal or sa 32 lrf
Either really - just different specs - both have ballistics - with QD mounts both do work as a handhelds as well, FT is smaller - but both the FT and SA32 are older models now - pantera, ocelot, TD are the scopes and predator replaced FT (not seen a predator yet)
Hi mate, been looking into these for months, thanks for the review! Question, im going to be using it for rabbits from the 15-200m range on a 22lr but also out to 600m on my 6.5cm(will be very very seldom). What out of the 50/70/100 would you recommend? I always choose high mag in my steiners and NF's as i prefer to have too much opposed to not enough. Any advice is much appreciated! It will also be a 850nm also
The MT3 seems like the only mount worth getting for this system. Why on god's green earth Can I find it absolutely everywhere except in the US? That is truly some stupid marketing.
Oh - I’ll let PARD know, we are New Zealand only
I love the video but I'm dying to see how pixelated things become if you want to use it as a clip on at night. 2-4 power range is all I care about. I estimate the image resolution to be 480x360 at 3x zoom but I would love to know that that actually looks like. Even the high end thermal clip ons I've used become very "blobular" looking after even 2x but would love to see how bad the compromise is on this. I like the 007 but some of the scopes I want to use dont have parallax adjustment and it just does not work for that.
Yes using digital zoom will drop it some - the sensor has more pixels than screen so some is lossless Thermal resolution and blobular - my new word :) Honestly just go a night stalker and chuck the glass scope away - day and night, dusk and dawn - ballistics … I don’t own any glass scopes anymore and neither do mates
How do you change profiles from A=> B?
Go to the reticle adjustment menu - where you zero and change it there. On the main screen for shooting you can see what profile are on as well
@@owlopticsandoutdoors Thanks, I worked it out eventually. I needed to scroll down to the Save parameter and long press on that to change the profile. Thanks for your response
What UAV do you have
A DJI m30t and m350
@@owlopticsandoutdoors thank you
I know this video is 8 month old but you mentioned that IR is not focusable. I believe the newer version of FD1 has focusable IR now. Am I right?
Yes - may have been a pre-production model that I had - confirmed with a new one and it moves from spot to flood
Great video. Do you plan to review the newly released NV-SC4?
Once we have them - closer to end of the year
@@owlopticsandoutdoors NV-SC4 has 4K sensor and yet the digital zoom is only 2X which means it can only go up to 8X with base mag 4X. Any idea as to why it is so low?
It’s a entry level device, the night stalker is the full Monty
And which one do you think is better, the Pard TS31 LRF or the FT32 LRF?
Ts definitely - 100mm of eye relief - clip ons (any brand) have issues - of course you maybe in USA and can attach it to a rail as well But then again - ballistics are brilliant to have
"Does it calculate the ballistics and always place the crosshair of the scope at the right point? No need to compensate? Does it work from 5 to 1000 meters?"
Yes the aiming point (main reticle stays the same) works - put right data in and it goes a very long way - 1269 (see other video) and 1439 on targets for the night stalker model - you won’t be shooting anything like that far with a thermal though
"Can this telescope be used during the day?"
Yes - just its thermal so summer heat can make it hard, watch out for the sun too
Thanks for this review much needed 👍🏿
