How to identify vegan items? Is there some indication on the pack or maybe written in English?
Gosh its a lot more now, maybe £11 or more?
Aaaahhh, that accent! <3 I think Imma need to try this. Actually I would like to first manage to go through everything I have at home before I grocery shopping but I always end up getting stuff. I have a budget of 150 EUR/month and I only go over it when I buy "luxury" products like pesto and things like that. It'd be great if I could spend a 100 or even less per month. Thanks for sharing!
Those onions were 39p. They are 89p now. It's shocking how food prices have gone through the roof.
Watching in aug 24 and amazing to see how much cheaper everything is. This would all cost at least £20 now
You could eat crappish stuff and take tablets to make up the iron ect !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shop online Have it delivered To your Front door. 🎉
U are great. 🎉
So gud if you can
And who is cleaning the flat? The Clothes? 10 Pound for Eating, drinking, Household? No way!
This video was so helpful, thank you so much! I’m in my second year of being a primary school teacher but I’d love to travel and this will allow me to☺️
Just because it's possible, nobody, working, should be forced to live off 10 pounds per week. Great video.👍
You can't do this now 😂😂😂😂 with food inflation 😂😂😂in the UK
If I were to get the same groceries (although natural, because you can't find canned food in Brazil), I'd be spending around 2020~250 R$, which in turn amounts to €40+. And I'd go hungry, because I probably eat 50% more than that. So make is €55 to live *decently* in Brazil. Oh how I wish I lived in Europe.
Bacon rolls milk Bacon rolls am Bacon rolls pm. Add a few tomatoes or onions. 8 to 9 a week split Bacon into am_ pm lasts longer
bro you looked like baked beans in the beginning of the video
I’m looking to buy a used one this weekend. It would be my first electric car and bmw. Would you be able to educate me on what I should look for before I buy? I would be very grateful.
Crazy you could afford all that 2 years ago!
Quite a lot of vegan options there bud. I'm vegan too and look to move to TH but was worried about food. I knew Bangkok would have many options but I didn't know issan would.
High quality food = high quality health + high quality brain function = Success
rice in bags is more expensive than buying 1kg of rice in one bag. just a tip.
Great ideas here. Thanks
If you consider batch cooking, the extra portions can be frozen in glass (jam jars) since I don't like plastic containers. Just don't fill jars to the top since any liquids expand slightly in the freezing process. This saves on energy costs.
I buy "tomatoe paste", some vegetables, ground pork for mini loempias, bananas and apples, and I order 72 oranges for two weeks for 33 euros!!! I spend 32 euros per week, with my ex eating with me once a week during his visit one day per week!!! I'm happy with my vegetable soups, some meat, and a sack of rice I buy from online Asian shops, which is 60 euros for 1 year!!!Some days with potatoes and pasta!!!
Yes, FOOD is expensive, and that's why we're cutting it down!!! I want to buy me a kick as "naai - borduurmachine", and from the food budget, I will get it!
Some of the prices of these basic ingredients have gone up nearly 50% since this video 2 years ago ridiculous inflation 😮😢
Jeeez sell us your charisma, loosen up mate
No meat? 😢
yeah hes vegan, great option tho!
Ive found cheaper ways of living on less than £10 a week food shopping now,Im doing more than really cutting costs down now days for the better really
Crazy how much prices have gone up in just one year...
In Australia , The tomatoes you bought are 98 cents a tin. The lentils are $1.10 a can . Bananas are $3.99 a kilo Bread is $1.40 for the cheapest white bread Can of soup $1.20 hope this helps a bit .
Brilliant video well done yes being vegan helps the budget.
were these items only temporary or still available?
I went to Bangkok and Kanchanaburi a few weeks ago, and their 711 still have these vegetarian/vegan options. 😊
Gosh. It is not so cheap if all you have near you is a Morrisons.
Then I watch videos like this, I always notice how easy it would be for a week and how repetitive the taste vise it would get after a few months unless you are going to spend all 40 euros at once and buy things for the whole month. And yes, you have some essentials in your cupboard then you start living like this, like sugar, salt, vinegar, baking soda, spices, oil. But after a few months of living this way, it is all gone. And you have to restock, and it is not cheap to do when you are on a budget like this. I drink coffee. That is half of the week's budget. Tea costs too. If I did this in Lithuania i would go for apples, cabbage, carrots, beetroots, celery roots and potatoes instead. They are cheap and store well in a dark place. You can make salads for sides out of them, make different soups, stew. If you buy flour, you can make pastries stuffed with vegetables or apples, boil them or bake in the oven and eat it as a meal or snack with coffee. In Lithuania cheapest tofu I have seen. 200g, cost 3.4 Euro, so it would cheaper go for pig lard or bones for stock. With that You can make stock for soups and other meals and there is still some meat on a bone you can debone and use for your meals. And I guess the discount corner of a store would be your go-to place too. Honestly, you can just buy potatoes, oil, and ketchup and live a whole week eating that. Most students do that 20 days out of 30 and still are alive somehow.
Wow im going to aldi spent a lot more at asda
Confused by the claim of eating a variety of foods. Of 21 meals, you only ate 8 different meals, and 12 contained bread/crumpets. I know it highlights the difficulty of this, but would have been nice to see more variety throughout the week
“Being vegan is so expensive” 🤪 such jokers
Those bugs tripping when you cut the video😂

A 1 kg bag of rice of rice will be cheaper than a boil in the bag version and you will get at least ten 100g portions from the bag of rice. I'm not vegan and go to the supermarket after Xmas and new year and buy meat that's between 90p and £2 to fill my freezer, I can easily spend £110 on the meats that are reduced by 60% or more.
People outside of the UK forget that our food can be so cheap because our serving sizes are typically a lot less than many other countries. We get less for our money but that’s normal to us, it doesn’t mean we are better off, it’s just something the bear in mind. We were raised to eat less so we spend less.
VEGANS MAKES ME SICK
Nezt time add herbs and saly and black pepper to the beans
I never would have thought to look for canned lentils
Would love to know what the ingredients would cost nowadays???
How interesting. I love the balcony kitchen idea, although cooking on the floor might not agree with my back, but the idea is very interesting
I went to the grocery store had to make some exceptions and got the absolute cheapest thing like blackbean sauce we don’t have so I got the cheapest can on black beans and it came to $38.85 or £31.98 I wish we had your prices. If you live in the us I suggest you search for “that Lisa dawn” she does cheap meals also but on us budget
So I think pepper and salt should be included. Sure it is only 2p per use but the pepper mill is £1.49 and the sea salt grinder is another 1.49 so both are £3. If you are living off £10 that £3 is a big part of the budget
That is impressive! Like your style xxx
