The WORSHIPPED and WORLD-RENOWNED STORY of "WICKED"
Wicked was originally a novel, published in 1995. Then, it became a Broadway musical in 2003. And finally, the first act of the musical was recently made into a film in 2024. This analysis explores the actors involved in both versions of the musical, the genius-composed music, and lastly, the controversy surrounding the film itself.

The DENSE PLOT of the COEN BROTHER'S "THE BIG LEBOWSKI"
Переглядів 1,1 тис.4 місяці тому
The Big Lebowski's plot is extremely dense with a lot of detail and complexity that surrounds it. The characters create this density, along with what led to some mistakes I made during my last analysis video of this film. I touch on many of the minor characters, including Jeffrey Lebowski's wife, Bunny, his butler, Brandt, and his daughter, Maude Lebowski. I also highlight the importance of Jac...
The ABSURD APPEAL of the COEN BROTHER'S "THE BIG LEBOWSKI"
Переглядів 1934 місяці тому
The Big Lebowski is labeled as a cult film because it doesn’t have a solid conclusion. And although this part of The Dude’s story has ended, that doesn’t mean like how it is for every other film when the hero’s journey is concluded for good. No, The Dude just goes back to his everyday life as a human being. It provides a sense of humanity for his character and, when he actually meets the narrat...
The MONUMENTAL SUCCESS of SYLVESTER STALLONE'S "ROCKY"
Переглядів 1525 місяців тому
Sylvester Stallone once had an idea that positively impacted his life forever. He was a man who went from rags to riches from a script for a film he wrote in just three days and put himself on the map. Sylvester Stallone and his story of Rocky will stand the test of time, being remembered as one of the best cult classics of its era. Thank you guys so much for supporting my channel! If you liked...

The RISE and FALL of HALL & OATES
Переглядів 19 тис.6 місяців тому
A complete history of the iconic duo, Daryl Hall & John Oates. The band blended rock and roll, soul, pop, and rhythm and blues. What made them so unique was simply that mixture of multiclass genres. Thank you guys so much for supporting my channel! If you liked the video, be sure to like and subscribe to show your support! Instagram: artisticanalysis?igsh=MTV4OW9obmhiaGN0Zw #halla...
War Babies and Along The Red Ledge are brilliant albums.
I graduated from high school in 1976. 😊 myself and a GREAT FREIND. Saw a concert, (hall and oates) in Chicago. 2 time's. 😊😊😊😊😊
OMG, when you posted a picture of Janna as having passed away, u’re actually showing a picture of Sara Allen! Wow, I could see you really did your due diligence on this legendary duo, of all time! BTW, Daryl was not living in Philadelphia when he contracted Lyme’s disease! He had homes in Dutchess County & Connecticut, respectively!
Fun fact, not one picture u’ve shown so far was out of the Sara Allen! Get your shit straight if u’re going to report on such legends! Daryl Hall’s unique & tune-full voice? WTF is a tune-full voice? Daryl has the most legendary, soul stirring voice of any generation! I’m glad u finally got some real pictures of Sara in there. FYI, the first woman is, I don’t know her, & the second picture was of Janna Allen, not Sara Allen, then u finally got shit right, but seriously, if you wanna be taken seriously, then get shit right!
Well done, guys!!! I like that you keep the analysis neutral with a few kind opinions-we need more positivity in this world.
I love this video, such a good movieeeee and storyyyy
First discovered this duo when they appeared on Dick Clark’s Rocking Eve back in the early 80s. It is really sad what’s happened. I still enjoy their music though.😊
Subscriber 156 😂😂😂 keep up the great work tho
I always thought the goofier Darryl's hair got, the less successful they became.
As far as i am concerned as long as their music is around hall and oates will always be around.
I don't think there was any kind of fall. Most people in their late 70's would be well into retirement. Like all pop stars, they had a popularity arc that peaked at some point. Springsteen is the rare exception
So many mistakes in this video lol
Honestly, I don't think enough is mentioned about their trajectory once they had GE Smith and their own core group.
Daryl Hall is and has always been an arrogant jack wipe; he alone probably fired more session musicians tha any band in the 70s and 80s. I once met Hall at the San Francisco Airport lounge back in the 80s while I was waiting to board a plane to Korea for a military tour of duty. He was the most arrogant and self centered musician I ever met, and I've met a few such as Elton John, Springsteen, Vince Gill-one hell of a nice Oklahoman, Jimmy Buffett(may he RIP).., et al. Oates, in my opinion had to do his own thing selling the rights, and Hall got his Hanes in a twist because of it. Well hats of Oates!
This is not analysis. You're just recounting what happens in the film, then you're reading us excerpts from a screen rant article. 1. Look at the film in detail. 2. Think about those details until you find something worth saying, something that is truly your own conclusion. 3. Proudly tell us about your conclusion and show us how you arrived at it. 4. If in doubt, ask yourself: Am I making any statements that somebody might reasonably disagree with? If the answer is "no", then you are just stating facts, not your own analysis.
The rug tied the room together, man.
I have to think this movie is the result of a drug induced trip.
At one point in the movie The Stranger gets off his stool, heads in one direction and then changes his mind and goes the other way, which strongly indicates that he can't be God, as we traditionally perceive God as omniscient. It could be read as a dig at the idea of an omniscient God in the first place though 🤔
As sad it is Hall and Oates is no more you gotta admit them working together for so long is pretty impressive when most musical duos like Simon and Garfunkel and the Everly brothers did not last nearly as long or took much longer hiatuses
Sad to hear that Daryl & John have gone their separate ways-They were great!
Liked the video, but there was more than nothing in the mid 80s. Daryls second solo album. If you need to know more about the history of Hall & Oates, I would recommend the biography "Dangerous dances" by Nick Tosches (if you can find it...)
Split their music into two stages. All the way up to" beauty in the backstreet " and after. Have to say their best music was the early period
Um, so after Rock and Soul they didn’t do much??? Just put out Big Bam Boom which had another #1 hit, a #5 and another top 20. Then they were one of the closing acts at Live Aid, brought the Temptations out and also backed Jagger and Tina…
1984: me age 15. The single Adult Education comes out about HS 2024: me age 55. My last kid is the same age I was back then. They were the perfect backup band for the 1st Live Aid concert, too. Epic hits! Too bad about their current situation
Hall is a musical giant compared to Oates. Personally I never cared for them. Corny as hell.
Its really sad to see what happened to their friendship😢
Nice work! This is the first time I have commented on and subscribed to a sub-100 channel. Good luck and looking forward to future uploads. ✌️
Thank you so much, that really means a lot to have you say that! Thank you for your support and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
So they broke up....BUT WHY!?!?? Did Oats need the money? Was the offer too good for him to pass up? What was the reason?
From what I gathered, they were just sick of playing with each other. There could be more, but I'm not too sure about the legal stuff. Good questions! Can anyone else answer it?
Good stuff! Thanks for putting that together for us. Great duo - legacy secured. And that catalog of songs!
i
Ya got yourself a new fan...and sub! Keep up the Great work!
@susanpolice8465 Thank you so much for the support! It means a lot!
During the summer around '97-'99 Gulfstream Racetrack was having free concerts on the weekends. The concerts were usually old acts from the '80's that were no longer popular, like Rick Springfield or Flock of Seagulls. Hall and Oates showed up one weekend and I remember feeling so bad for them. I told my wife how just 10 years before I had seen them in a sold out arena, and was now watching them on a tiny stage giving a free concert at a horse track. I'm so glad audiences rediscovered them in the 2000's.
Don't be fooled, just because the concert was free doesn't mean they were playing for free. Either the owner of The Gulfstream Racetrack or someone with money paid Hall & Oates and the other artists to be there to attract a crowd to the racetrack plus bring publicity.
Yeah great comment, but hall and oates, prior to them breaking up, still were getting $750,000 a show. LOL.
What made them great was Daryl Hall. No offense to the guy with the mustache.
THESE GUYS sung the soundtrack of my childhood this kinda hurts
Hall had an "extra" bit of international success in 1994 with the official song for the USA FIFA world cup (Gloryland). Does anyone know why this was never a Hall & Oates song, as his name alone was not as huge around the world?
Absolutely loved Hall & Oates & always will. HOWEVER, the last time I saw them in concert in 2021, Daryl Hall was either high or drunk, bc he was slurring the words & was off the beat. Then he'd tap his earpiece, shake his head, then act like he couldn't hear. Watching John Oates & the band having to play twice as hard to make up for it was so sad. I knew then the duo weren't going to be together much longer. Makes me sad, but I get it. They're tired of playing together. 😬
@surbana9803 Wow, what an experience! Thank you for your insight and support!
I just saw John Oates in concert here in NJ in August. He had three guys playing with him. It’s probably one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. I saw him & Daryl together a few times & enjoyed it as well.😊
Just showed my family this movie again. They didn't like it the first time years ago, but they finally came around 😂
@@stevemustang7102 it's funny because that's exactly how I felt when I first watched the film!
Lol.. not true..
Happy to be the first one to like your video
I heard, they just took some career Viagra, they shall rise again
Nice job
Seems like a lot was left out.
Yeah, you're probably right. I just highlighted the important points of their lives and there wasn't too much, I suppose.
It was always Hall..oats was the invisible partner
Live Hall & Oates but it’s funny how some consider them rock n roll but not Prince when in fact that Prince covered the spectrum of Music far greater than H&O’s.
Both artists are in The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
People’s lives evolve. People have a right to live their own lives, not be joined at the hip to someone else throughout their lives simply for business reasons. It’s really no one’s business but their’s
Agreed
My fav H&O album is War Babies, with the great track "Is it a star?" Rundgren did a great production on this set of more interesting tracks. After this they turned to commercial mush... Darryl Hall did a better solo album with Bob Fripp.
🔥🔥💯💯
Thank you for this video❤ Imteresting plus good music🎶⭐️
