Please give us some examples of cold emails you’ve pitched that have landed you art deals ?
nice 👍
good job 😍HI i want to learn this can you please help me in this regards
This is a very interesting video for an artist expansion. Thank you.
I wish you used a contrast colour of thread
Yes, I wish a contrasting color was available Unfortunately it is very hard to find black any longer. Our teacher in Japan has not been able to find it for several years. And we must use the strong thread that is made especially for this purpose. When you pulll it tight, any normal thread would break and that is a huge risk after hours of stitching.
I’m confused this doesn’t show any step by step
Hello: Thanks for watching. Please read my description under the video to access the full videos lessons.
@@debravalencia thanks but I found a video that helped 👍🏻
Excellent design. Please upload video on how to dye fabric and also give information about fabric type and colour. With regards.🙏
The two scarves you showed in the beginning are beautiful! I wish you had a demo on how to make those. Also, I'm confused on the piece you demonstrate here. Without seeing a finished product, I'm not understanding the purpose of sewing alternate points on both sides.
Which shibori technique was used to make your shirt sleeves?
Hello Ana: The technique is called Arashi. The sleeves were fed onto a large plastic tube, scrunched and wrapped with twine then dyed
Hello Debra. Thank you and congratulations for your shirt. I would like to make one like that. How is it done?
Thank you for sharing the technical, have you ever make more video beside this one? I would love to see how you do the first scarf that you made. And may I have more info about the classes that you mentioned in Japan? Love your video, thanks
Hello Please subscribe to my channel to be notified when I add new videos. Also go the teaching page of my website for information on the Shibori workshop in Japan, www.debravalencia.com
Hola, porque no das la opcion de seleccionar el idioma???? Es muy dificil cuando apenas hablamos nuestro propio idioma que es el ESPAÑOL. Por favor, si es posible EDITAR EN ESPAÑOL. Saludos desde CHILE
I learned this back when i took graphic design and this tool was already being phased out. This is as close to how we did it back in the day. Great tutorial! Only difference was how we learned how to load the ruling pen. We did it from under the screw towards the tip, this way you minimize the cleanup before you use it. It also allows you to see how smooth your gouache mix is. What is also weird is that you are not using the finger indentation and the standard 3 finger holding position that allows you to pull a line without a straight edge.
Thank you. I still use the ruling pen today for designs with goauache designs and want my students to know how to use it. But honestly I use a computer for most drawings
I hear ya. I haven't used mine in a long time. But from time to time I will use it when pinstriping or just when I want to practice and have fun

can you plz teach ..how to make THE RICE PASTE... which is used as a resiste.. for painting on a fabric.... plz or at least share any link where i can learn it easly... looking fwdb to your reply
Thank you for this video! It is really helpful. I am no expert, but is it called Katano rather than Katana, after Motohiko Katano?
Je souhaite apprendre vos techniques. Comment faire ?
Please can you send information on the follow up stitching that you refer to as I am unable to find it ?Thank you
Amazing!
What a wonderful job! Congratulations. Hellow from Brazil.
for demo purposes a contrasting thread would really help
Yes I agree! But the white is the only color sold in Japan and it is a specific type of cotton only for Shibori
Wow!!!! This was really good and helpful.
I was wondering if you could say what the fabric marking pen is called and where I could find it online?
Thank you! I've played a bit with shibori, and I'm so glad to learn a new technique.
If you buy a pack of magnetic business cards at the print store you can read your needle lay the needle on one card and wind your sewing thread. Around the magnet either lengthwise or crosswise and lay a Nother piece of magnet on top to secure the thread a needle in till you're ready to use
Excellent idea!
part 2 please😉
Can you do a video on how to dye the fabric after cutting the stencil? What dyes would you use?
Love you Debra!
