Third winter here.. It's been a full year since the last one was rescued.. Still a few more to go.. That means that they are all healthy and well cared for.. There have been moments.

Every cat is a rescue at my place.. Terry Tabbie kitten, Calico Kookie 4 months so young... Took them out of an apartment they grew up in for two years and once they roamed the garden they got followed home by strays and ferals. About a dozen visit and the 3 above have worked their way inside.. Its taken a fair amount of policing.

He's double the size now and very soft. 🧡🙏🏻🧡 Thank you

I'd immediately go live stream me making friends with Mr Yogi bear or film my passing. Small nutrition and 4 hours broken sleep prior to this adventure. Left home 0630. Got back twelve hours later.

For this track I've got my own tune. It was the track that got me back into Forza and tee start of building tunes. Orange 8 is my most popular public tune. I've got world top 20 with it. Even though the 3 and 4 speed tunes are easier to drive and race with.. I've never seen an F1 with 3 gears so refuse to drive them. 8 speed no assists all the way. Renault RS17 in this.. Last year before Halo came in.

That's a 95% whispering translation.. Slight Slovak dialect to it. He went from arriving outside my door with a funk n stunk, matted and greasy to now probably the maddest best cat with the biggest attitude I've ever had. He's old.. Got one tooth but still loves feather wand and pillows cuddles. Or ass on throat.. I'm owned. I've even managed to socialise him with my two apartment cats who are now enjoying barn and garden life. Making cat friends. I've 7 daily feeders and another 3 more twice a week.

Took me 18 months to gain this trust.. This is I dare say his first human touch. He was so skatty as a kitten for almost two years. I have to keep him and Oliver apart but this fighting feral actually guards my cats against bigger ferals. He's a dude.

Oliver sleeps in bed with me every night and smells lovely. ❤️

Weather is crazy. My pivnica is flooded. Never had a warm February like this.. Quagmire is a great word for the current conditions. I'd possibly take some mud over a densely populated piste.. Half term mogels are quite the hilarity.. Just missing things is my specialty.

@@Max_Snellink the slopes around her are just mud now so we don't have the usual half term madness (starts next week in the east). A couple of years ago my wife went through a shabby chic phase and decorated everything with it - pastel colours. This year it looks like we're going with 'black mould chic' because that seems to be everywhere from the constant saturation of the walls and ground

I'm just about to leave LM for Kosice reading this.. Yes the winters are warmer.. Currently February should be minus 20 and thigh deep in the villages with snow. It's all gone. Crazy warm weather. However lots of snow is a pain the zadok really logistic wise. Snowboarding is different.. You want the fresh snow.

He technically could ride/walk that last 400m to the bar at bottom and he rode it out.

@@Max_Snellink All I like about snow is the possibility of building a snowman, I absolutely LOVE snowmen☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️ I have a bunch of decorations with snowmen in the house all year long(my cup of tea has 2 of them, this December I bought myself as birthday present a pair of earrings with snowmen). I built a real one a few years ago- Cipi my calico girl attacked it, but Lache, my eldest boy was so afraid of it, that I had to demolish it the next day😅 I don't know, maybe cats and snowmen aren't compatible 🙄☃️🐈? 💝🎀☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️

It's been an absolute manic end to the year.. Haven't had 5mins to myself. Everything that could of gone wrong did/broke and I'm still smiling. The alcohol adventure making mead is fun. I'm pasteurising and bottling today and tomorrow a huge batch of date mead. I'm burnt out from 3 hours digging snow today. Drive.. Van was buried by the plough and the Obec people knocked on door and ordered me to take my van off road. Ironically it's off the road with a plethora of faults. To be fair they dug me a lay by up the road and laughed at me. Have a wonderful festive season will save a date wine for you. 💪🏻🤠👌🏻

@@Max_Snellink first off you need to invest in a good pair of snow shoes - I spend 90% of the time wearing a pair of fake tree-camo crocs from a Chinese shop. Great fun when wading through snow in the dark to go chop logs. We've also had a really shite end to the year with everything going wrong. The universe had an A or B choice on several occasions in some quite major ways and always chose the one which would inflict the most emotional or mental or financial damage. I hope you've got some visitors coming out this season - it'll get you out on the slopes and breathe some new life into Barnaby.

@@CarpathianAdventure I swapped labour for a Rad pair of snow boots. They should also marry up to my snow shoes for hiking later. Exactly what you said the universe dealt some wild cards and cleaned me out. Bonus is new stove and windows. Wow what a difference. Ran out of easy wood. I'm now on to emergency trunks and coal. Which gets the cottage part of Barnaby very hot. With the snow dumps a few friends have shown interest in coming out. I'm using the trains now. Gave up smoking 🚬 went cold turkey and for that first month turned alcoholic and drank all my mead. 🤣

@@Max_Snellink the wife's got me hunting wellies with fleece interiors for Christmas, but i'll probably still be wandering around in fake crocs lol. Today i have all three fires going but the wood we got this year is still wet and isn't doing its job. It didn't really get chance to dry because of all the rain and flooding making the air humidity so high. You know I live in the only region without a railway - or a motorway? Tomorrow I have to endure what Slovaks consider Christmas dinner - it's more like a test of will power and overcoming primal revulsion. "Just a symbolic portion, please" for all 13 dishes (starting with raw garlic, communion wafers and honey).... except with macanka as I can't even manage a symbolic amount of that. Cep soup made with cream and the liquid left over from sauerkraut. Seriously, WTF? Kapustnica I do like though - sauerkraut and smoked sausage soup.

Honestly the amount of food vs litter tray visits this old cat is doing he hasn't got long left. Similar odour and frequency to a cat I lost last year. Oliver is very unusual bless him.

2 cups flour with a pinch of salt and a quarter teaspoon of baking soda. Knead in 1 cup warm water. In another bowl one cup warm milk with teaspoon of sugar and a bit of yeast. Roughly a teaspoon and let that activate and wake the yeast up for 30 mins.. Then mix together well everything and let it rise.. You should be looking for a frothy very loose batter. Pre heat pan and rings. No rings. Use a very small pan. Once pan and rings are oiled up and hot add in the batter two thirds of ring depth as it will rise. Cook for around 5 mins until top of Crumpet is dry. Flip and remove from rings and let cool. One min in a toaster or under grill later to warm up to serve. Great with jam. But I prefer savoury so cheese ham eggs etc also work. 👌🏻😍
