I love this song in the film and the countryside scenes are amazing 👏 😍 ❤ I love the duo of Martin and Lewis. RIP 🙏 both great talents 🙏 😢 so badly missed in this current Hollywood where talents are rare but nudity and violence are order of the day!

Overall, I found this to a respectable continuation or sequel to the original series. While there were no classic "Turkey Drop" episodes, there were very many solid episodes. To be sure, there were also a fair amount of duds as well (mostly at the beginning of season one and the very end of season two). Best episodes in my opinion are "Retreading on Thin Ice", "Herb's Got a Guy", "Number One Fan", "Moss Dies", "Good Old Radio Days", "Venus, We Hardly Knew Ya", and "You are My Sunshine". Of the original characters, they absolutely needed Carlson, Tarlek, Nessman, and Fever. They got 3 of the 4 and the fourth, Fever, made guest appearances in season one and was a semi regular in season 2. Mykelti Williamson was solid replacement for Gary Sandy as program director, Marla Jeannette Rubinoff was a fantastic replacement for Loni Anderson, as a beautiful, ditzy, and younger blonde who actually aggressively and openly pursues Tarlek. French Stewart was a younger and more modern version of Dr. Johnny Fever and was great, though he was only there for season two. Tawney Kitaen, was sort of a mix of Jennifer and Venus, and she was good, but I don't think as good as she could have been had the writers better utilized her. They also added John Chappell as the lazy and eccentric station engineer, Buddy Dornster. Lightfield Lewis was in season one as Arthur Carlson, Jr. and was okay as a young, self centered preppy, but there was too much overlap with Herb Tarlek for his character. All of the season two episodes are currently on YT.

This show could've had 5 more seasons 😞

I actually like this arrangement of the theme. Not as bitter as the arrangement most know and love.

Somehow, even with Herb, Les, and Mr. Carlson, the show doesn't seem to be as good. The theme song stayed, I see, even though it seemed to profile the life of Andy Travis, who doesn't seem to be working at the station anymore. With special appearances from the older cast, it just doesn't seem the same anymore.

The original series was funnier most of the time, but this sequel series definitely had some pretty funny episodes. Both are worth watching IMO.

Watching Season 1 on DVD right now. They never released any other seasons unfortunately ): It's one of the last "Good" shows on television....you know when they actually still made good TV.
