Wright was bigger than many rock solists in keyboards including Wakeman, Lord, Manzarek and more. But never unfolded his complete talent. He always gave us a hint and left us hungry.
I heard it was the organ pipe at Royal Albert Hall. Wright was playing for 30 minutes nonstop. He came up with the chord progression for the last act of the track Saucerful of Secrets: Celestial Voices. During that session So out of the entire 30 minutes that was what the band had agreed to work with. And I guess now, because Endless River was a homage to Wright's legacy in Pink Floyd, that was another snippet that Gilmour wanted to share. There are a few short videos of Wright playing that organ on youtube but I'd love to hear everything he played on that from beginning to end.
“The Endless River is so bad”

Phenomenal. I want this to be an intro to an 80's-esque cop show.

Rick recorded the pipe organ sequence in 1968 and they never used it... until now :). How bizarre.

The last hurrah of Gilmour and Wright .... glad Gilmour decided to mix and release this final album.
Love that church organ!
I'm a great Pink Floyd fan and I love 'Allons-y' , but this has been lifted from John Martyn's 1980 track 'Grace and Danger'.
Holy shit, it's true..but it's kind of cool because now you have another version of an awesome song
Im not really hearing the similarities
+Peter Marshall I see your point, a little bit - the rhythm is different though, and only the tonic.
pure sound!
A lovely section. Blends seamlessly
just want to fly away...
