what was the program that you were testing yourself on?
please post more I need to know how the journey going I'm going to vet school
Hi! I have a few questions about vet school!
Very great job
I’m confused… I thought that block exams included multiple classes on one exam but you keep mentioning that you’re studying separately for your classes… for example: you said studying physiology Monday and anatomy Wednesday Also, what’s your opinion on block exams
Hi Do you do your own hair on the island?
Congratulations for going Tusgekee My mom graduated there in 1983
Hi, I actually got the chance to visit Tuskegee and came across your page a couple years ago. I just graduated with my Bachelors in Pre-Vet and working at a Banfield now as a vet assistant. Do you know anything about the dual program they have with penn foster to become a certified vet tech? I was really hoping to at least get that certification!
Love your videos. Thank you for your tips. A quick question how do we pay for Vet school?
Most of us get by on student loans!
Hey quick question (hopefully you will reply ), as far as the letter of recommendations. Do they have to send the letter of recommendation to each school you apply for individual? or just that one time (hopefully this makes since).
it's all done through the VMCAs website. It will send them a form to fill out and it will go to all schools.
Hi! Great video! I was wondering how you’ve prepared the phone interview with them! I have one like tmrw and super nervous.😂
Thank you so much for your videos. My son is a freshman in high school and is interested in attending vet school.
This was awesome to listen! I. Working on my bachelors for vet school now. I love your excitement. All of this is so exciting and scary at the same time. Thanks for the info. Ill be watching your other videos
This bob is giving me life😍
Do u ever have time to have fun and enjoy college or is it always strictly work and stressful
Your determination is incredible. I'm glad everyone did a little something for your birthday! 😊🎉 I'll be in vet school next year and had a quick question! So after an exam, do you ever study the material again? Or does it just stick forever? Haha cuz in undergrad, once a test was over I never went back. But I know as a vet, you can't do that. But it's impossible to review EVERYTHING all the time ya know. Thanks 💕
I'm so glad I'm done with anatomy, it was one of my hardest subjects. I legit got flashbacks when you said passive stay apparatus 😱. Late nights in the anatomy hall are so vivid in my mind and it's been 2 years. You got this, you'll be graduated before you know it.
Please keep making vedios
Great vedios
Nice vlog 😍😍😍 expecting more videos from you😍😍😍 do have a sneak peek of my channel too. I post vet medicine videos 😊
That seems so complicated. I applied for vet school here in Germany with basically only my "certificate" of graduation or whatever you'd call that in the US in June, got accepted and started my first semester in October.
What did you get on your GRE if you don’t mind my asking?
I wanna ask, is there a scholarship in vet school for internasional student?
I am a sophomore in high school and I am worried about the possibility of getting into vet school. I do not play any sports and I am not involved in any clubs yet but I plan on volunteering at local animal shelters starting this year and eventually working at vet clinics when I turn 16. Is not playing sports and not in any clubs going to effect my chances of getting into vet school in the future?
Georgia C you’re only in high school you’ve got your whole college career ahead of you!!! Right now no, if there aren’t any clubs at your school that you’re interested in that’s okay. I would just recommend getting a little more involved once you get to college to amp up your resume!
Do you know if vet schools care if you came from a community college? Or is it just grades.
At 22:20 when you are going over the histology content, which species is this for? How many are you expected to know for each species? Just curious... thanks!
alc123 they each point out the relevant differences between each species. It mainly focuses on cats and dogs, ruminants/equine
Natassjia R I see... I’m thinking of vet school so I’m curious. I often times get overwhelmed by having to learn so many species but perhaps it will be more focused on common animals 🙃 thank you for answering my question!
I’m 23 do you think I’m too old to start pre med school
Yo Hi not at ALL! We just had someone graduate at 40, it’s never too late if it’s what you want to do
Wow very great job
I’m a biology grad student graduating next year and hoping to apply to vet school next year. I was wondering if you do any mentoring for pre-vet students?
Keia S I’m here to answer any questions you have!
Go Nats!!!
I have a question can you bring pets to your Tuskegee dorms for veterinary medicine
Hi I'm a junior in high school, I was wondering like what kind of volunteering we would have to do because I watch videos of other vets that get into that school and they have this elaborate volunteer information like they travel the country and I can't really do that I usually volunteer at my local shelter and I want to volunteer at animal sanctuaries and things like that and also since my GPA is a 2.1 right now I have to go to Community College for the four years undergraduate so I can boost my GPA but my Community College only has Veterinary technology as they made you ask remotely close to everything animal like they don't even have biology
Hey! I hate to self promote! I saw that you are in high school and so I did a major breakdown of what you need to be doing while in high school! She did such a wonderful job explaining! I hope you can look into my channel as well!
What are their guidelines for the scrubs you wear?
I am starting my first SJP in June so this video was super super helpful!! Thank you! Hope you’re doing well :)
I don’t know if you still take questions, but how did you get your prerequisite vet experience and where?
Hey! I hate to self promote! She did such a wonderful job explaining! I hope you can look into my channel as well as I dive into how to get prerequisite experience in my newest video just drop down the description and go to the time stamp!
I love your videos! Keep up the good work and I hope your cat gets well soon.
Great content as usual! So glad your babies are doing better!!! I love, too, that you are such a model citizen! Keep up the good work!!!👍👍
Hope your cats get better! My cat died last week due to an obstruction in her intestines, the surgery was $3,000. so we had to put her down.:( She was only 2 years old.
Oceana I’m so sorry to hear that! I lost a cat at 2 years old as well. It’s almost harder when they’re young like that because it’s completely unexpected. I hope you’re doing okay!
If the cowboy boots don’t work out, take a look into the Muck boot company. Their boots and shoes hold up a lot longer than a standard cowboy boot does, especially in constant mud and dirt, and even better, they’re waterproof! It’s the only boot I use around the barn because it’s the only one I don’t have to replace constantly. 😊
SLB Equine oooh I’m definitely going to look into those. Thanks for the suggestion!🤗
Do u feed your cats with meat? They should eat high protein meat, not only dry food. Actually cats don't eat dry food in the nature so they shouldn't eat it at home as well. Dry food don't clean their teeth also, so they the bacterias from cavity go to their blood. But this part im sure you know as veterinarian being 👍😊 In Poland we start avoiding dry food for cats and more and more ppl feed their cats only by meat, in small portions, three to four times a day. Btw, cool yt channel!
Anna W. I thought that dry food was more effective at removing plaque off of feline teeth compared to soft food because the action of chewing the harder food disturbs the plaque? As cats age they can become intolerant of high high protein diets which often results in chronic liver issues as well. I agree that frequent small portions of meat are more conducive to an ancestral diet though.
May you pls link your quizlet :)
Loved this video!
This video was so helpful!!! Thank you so much for sharing! I have two interviews coming up within the next month!
Samantha Bennett I’m so glad you found it helpful! Good luck on your interviews🤗🤗
Thank you so so much for this video, just today the 2020 VMCAS cycle has opened and I've started filling out the basic information as you mentioned. Honestly so excited to be so close to studying my lifelong passion. Best wishes!
Nany Hndz I’m glad you found it helpful! ☺️
I have an interview at Tuskegee on the 31st!!! I'm really excited
Dominique Stewart Good luck!!!
I was accepted!!!
Dominique Stewart ik I’m late but congratulations!!
@@user-hu3ez7tw9w thank you, I actually was also accepted into my instate school in NC so I had to turn down my seat for Tuskegees. The instate tuition at NC State was much cheaper then Tuskegee, well over 100k difference. But I like to think because I gave up my seat that someone else got the chance of being pulled from the wait list and is on their way to becoming a doctor as well!!
Dominique Stewart Oh that’s awesome :)I’ve always dreamt of getting into a vet school so yeah I hope the day will come for me too I’m only 14 now lol
I love all the advice! So helpful😊 I have one more question though.. how important is research experience when considering vet school?
Ariyana Parker I think most schools would recommend it. I don’t think it’s end all be all if you don’t do any research but be prepared to explain why not because they most likely will ask you about it
Hey, Natassijia awesome video. How did your undergrad major in Biology prepare you for veterinary school? What upper-level biology courses did you take to prepare you for veterinary school? On a different note do you still watch America? America is awesome like you said she was. I have been watching her as well to get an idea of what vet school may be like.
Love your videos I’m in 8th grade and your my inspiration
9th grade here!
OMG you guys! I'm graduating college now, and my biggest advice is to get experience with multiple vets! Good for you for knowing what you want to do so early; I decided a bit late, so I've only worked with one vet, and it's my biggest weakpoint on my application.
I’m currently creating a website for my pre vet club that contains all information needed about vet school, can I include your videos and channel ?
Vita Ash for sure!
@@natassjiar8590 Thank YOU! this is my website currently under construction - prevetadvice.weebly.com If you wanted to check it in about a week and your videos will be linked! appreciate it!
Vita Ash I love your website!! I think it’s an amazing resource. Can you let me know when it’s completed? I’d love to share it on my instagram page and in my videos if you’re okay with it.
This keeps me motivated! Seeing that other vet students are going through similar things is nice!
