Hi! I love this pattern but I was wondering, would it be easy to add a zipper to this one? I have a skirt exactly like this with a zipper closure but I don’t want to take apart that skirt. Or should I buy the pleated skirt pattern and just estimate how long it to make the ruffles?

When you are stitching the elastic in are you stitching under the elastic when you fold it or on to the elastic again?

Double basting stitch for gathers makes them smoother and you have a backup if one breaks! And the four anchor points for the elastic makes it so it won’t flip when you wash it! Really nice pattern, only change I might make is to curve the bottom of the back panel and make it sightly longer to accommodate the 🍑
