This makes perfect sense.....from a corporate standpoint. Think about it. Over the last 3 years, new game releases from big publishers have landed like a fart in church. Sony just took a $400 million dollar bloodbath on Concord. Suicide Squad was a sucking chest wound for WB. Saints Row reboot *_killed its studio._* Ubisoft, one of the biggest publishers, is on life support (stock price is right around the cost of a cup of coffee...at Dunkin Donuts (not Starbucks)). The number of failures vastly outnumber the successes (Hogwart's Legacy, Black Myth Wukong, etc). The gaming industry is very much a monolith. No one at the top cares about genre or segmentation, it's all one big business to them. Developing a Sims 5 *_that would be good,_* should've started five years ago. At this point, even if they started work on Sims 5 today, we wouldn't see it until 2030. That boat has sailed. So they try to spin it as a positive and use the cumulative cost of packs as an excuse. Making and releasing a Sims 5 would be risky and some suit decided the risk wasn't worth it. Remember, they're not thinking long term. They're only worried about the stock price this quarter and the next and how to shoot rainbows up the arses of the financial press to make them look like it's 2018 again (when they were posting profits in the billions, largely from microtransactions. Remember "surprise mechanics"?).

Been thrpugh it all and more 18 years & going. My way of being has narrowed over the years. You learn whT not to deal with. with this as your guide: its your sl do what makes you happy...YOU. nobody else, no drama, people get the illusion that it retains rl connotations and feeling it does sure..but should it? Probably not..sl is responsible for a failed marriage and a failed relationship after that.. so dont is my advice. Stay away from drama type gossipers. Go get into some rp or something instead

I think this is hard to defend even for all the EA shills 🤣Originally, I was hoping that Rene will be truly next gen Sims, but the moment they said it's gonna be on mobile as well I knew it's gonna be shite - phones have limitations, so the entire game and its foundation is hindered by it. Second life mention caught me off guard but i feel like its 10x better than the sims even at its age. You can get anything you want, adjust stuff on your avatar, support artists, and explore user made worlds, its not perfect but im able to have a pretty good circulation just getting money from stuff i sell and spending that to buy user made stuff. Here its just shoving more money into EA's overstuffed pockets for items you get just as is besides maybe swatches, just a big ol pile of nothin.

This world is so incredibly detailed, the amount of work you put into every lot is noticeable and admirable... But why oh why didn't you include diving spots? It's such a miss with this beautiful beachy/tropical setting! 😭

I have a problem when changing the flat terrain to an island, when I use the “valley” tool, the terrain is submerged into water, but it is still visible under water, with sharp edges and all, and i dont know how to completely blend the terrain with the water, is it a setting I haven’t changed? Its my first time working with CaW so all settings are at default, Thank U once again for the content, love your videos 💜

I've been in SL since 2003 and it is my creative outlet. I'm not into the pixel bumping scene or the drama. I have 2 friends I talk to on the regular and a few that I see sometimes but mostly I'm off being creative in one of the many ways you can be.

MySims and Sims 1 walked, so Sims 2 and 3 could run. And Sims 4....tried to run, but tripped 😭....Too harsh? 🙈

Saw the tittle and thought it would the same as the "pokemon killer" that are about better games, BOY WAS I WRONG. Still quite sad seeing sims 4 keep on going, since the sims 4 base game is not the best. Hoped atlest sims 5 would do overworlds instead of all of sims 4 loading screens.

So I can get over the Sims themselves with the hopes they will improve them with better graphics, I also like the idea of my Sims having to purchase clothes in game as part of an in-game economy (like Sims 2), but not as part of a grind-based unlocks system. And why does it look like the clothing pieces aren’t seperates, wtf is this? It also generally looks like a hige regression in overall sims game mechanics. Like what were they thinking?

The game changers are so far up EAs and the Sims Teams arse they are kissing the back of their teeth, I can't stand them. And the famous "all opinions are my own" is absolute BS. No way they will truly speak against it, the most I have seen one of them say is "I am a bit worried," the reason they wont back the community and say what they feel is because EA will essentially "fire" them by removing them from the network leading to no more free content and early access which gives them less views, subsequently less money. EA even paid them real money to review the last pack, everyone has conveniently forgotten about that too. The Game changers will most likely be receiving content for this trash game and it'll be the same old lilsimsie and co going "oo I love this item" and all the plebs/kids that look up to them will grab mummy's credit card and buy it.
