Jade Cocoon PS1 pt. 1
To give my honor and respect to one of my favorite games of all time, I am doing a thorough playthrough of Jade Cocoon for the PS1.
I will be showcasing as much of the game as I can and talking about some of my favorite things about it along the way.

In part 1, we'll be learning about the story and lore of Jade Cocoon, meet the characters, and get a feel for how the game plays. The beginning contains a lot of exposition and world-building. In Part 2, we'll be getting into the nitty gritty and dive deeper into the adventure and the gameplay itself.

This game is being captured directly from my PS1 to my computer, so the video quality isn't the greatest, but I wanted to do this game right by playing it directly from my PS1 rather than emulate it.

I was playing as Roy against my friend's Greninja and pulled off this nasty combo. Apparently, the sour spot of back air can create a jab lock scenario.

@@Bayx92 bro, legit I would watch it. I'm at school most weekdays, but other than that I usually look at youtube many times throughout the day. I found the same thing, I have a capture card, but don't have an hdmi splitter and stuff like that. It's so hard to actually run a stream these days. I've helped my neighbor a few times set it up on twitch but youtube seems easier to use. I've got notifications on though so if I ever see your stream I'll come by for sure!

How often get you hit by your own bombs?
I run with Y.Link as my secondary and it's taken a while for me to develop my playstyle with him. I've finally gotten to a place where I'm starting to see consistent wins.. I appreciate you uploading this though, based on your playstyle here, I think I've been underutilizing the 💣 's.. thanks again, Y. Link is super fun to play with!

yo i stg people don't realize if you do it right people have to deal with literally FOUR different projectiles at the SAME TIME lol. using bomb to immediately double/triple hit someone who's planning to counterattack has been INVALUABLE in my 1v1s

Thanks man, yeah, I focus too much on what kinda stuff I can chain rather than how soon I can kill a guy... optimally, in a competitive setting, that's not ideal, but I play the game for fun just to see what kind of stuff can happen. I love smash for its free-form, open-ended style compared to traditional fighters.

You where over using bomb 💣 sometimes but I understand you where making a bomb focused montage, super awesome set ups especially the quick double bomb throws into aerial.
Appreciate the feedback! Yeah, it's always a work in progress when learning when and when not to use bombs in certain situations.
Idk if you can overuse the delay tactics until you see the result of your enemy’s movement. A lot of unexpected stuff can happen fighting a younglink main thats why those item setups are good for covering bases.

Appreciate your support!! I'd love to do more tournaments although, timing is always tricky cause I'm a student AND have a part-time job. I typically only have time for Smash in the early morning and late evenings.

Aw man, much appreciated! Yeah I feel that yinks bombs are the most versatile projectile in the game since they can be pulled out in the air and they can be thrown, dropped, and used to create little traps haha there's always more Yink tricks to discover!
