Its why i switched to Voodoo from Halfords (an ex raleigh brand) yet in my garage, i have from new, Raleigh Ozark, Mirage, Mtraqx 500, Dynatech Ogre XCE, Dynatech TT lopro Campy and cant buy one inner tube, from the raleigh uk web sight! its nuts..

You can buy an old English made Raleigh for a fraction of this and there’s still plenty of good ones around, the build is far superior

Beautiful vintage/retro bike <3

Just bought a Raleigh Talus IE and I get an error code E34 flashing on the Suntour HESC control unit a few seconds after turning it on. The error will not stop. Tried removing battery and then reinstalled battery and still get E34 error. Anyone know what this error means. Couldn’t find anything on the internet.

Cycelist myself and have been in many races and such... But when came to NYC as a tourist in 2000 I saw a bike messenger going up against traffic in rush hour on Broadway.. and traffic was not slow (in the effort of crossing Broadway)... Never seen anything like it ever since cool

What the hell did i just watch?

Saddle clip on wrong way around...saddle too far forward also need to grease handle bar stem plug and light smear of grease on saddle pole to ensure they don't rust in over time

I've owned this Raleigh Venture for a few years now and can honestly say it's the most comfortable (and probably safest) bike I've ever ridden. I live in a Canadian city and primarily use this as a summer commuter and errand running bike. While I've owned some zippier bikes, the upright riding posture of this machine is perfect for urban navigation that requires frequent shoulder checks to navigate around parked cars and obstacles. If I'm running errands and don't have my panniers, it's very easy to ride with one hand while carrying an object in the other because the rider's centre of gravity is mainly balanced on the seat, not spread across the handlebars. The low gear on this bike is fantastic. It's an excellent climber. Yes, the bike is a tad bit heavier than others but the 27.5 inch tires do make it quick. You're not going to compete in the Tour de France with this thing but I've been involved in a few impromptu street races with other riders and they're sure surprised when I pass them. LOL, you know the aggressive dudes who sneak around you at intersections to be at the head of the pack when the traffic light turns green. Aside from installing a pannier rack (and changing the seat because some meth head stole it) the only modification I've made is switching the twist grip shifters out for a set of thumb shifters. Every time I get on this bike it's a fun mini-adventure. The upright posture makes me more aware of my surroundings, is easy on the back and is a nice break from the forward-leaning posture of mountain bikes and hybrids.
