Very nice explanation given very nice
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!

Magic, pure magic to watch this. We will spread this documentary for sure. So many memories, great bands, great time. You put a lot of effort and passion to make this happen, good work! All the best from Sundsvall, Sweden. /Mikael, Zarah, Mattias & Magnus, The Confusions
Thanks so much guys, not only for the comment but for your assistance. I could not have done this properly without it. You, Sara, Sunding, Mattius and Matts were essentially my co-editors, and give me vital stories and information that really clarified the project, as it went through many changes since you saw that original first draft a few years ago. Cheers to the Scene's most cunning eccentrics! 😊
Rock music is more complex -lyrics and music
Good one Keanu! The old "3 chords pop" cliche has truth to it. And lyrically, you are spot on right! Would make a good video on it's own. Thanks
This was so f*cking great! 🎉 I've waited for something like this for years now. Much appreciated 🙌🏻 Swedish indie music (also called 'swindie' here in Cph, DK) was simply so much better than every other european country (besides UK of course) For years I have wonder why this is? Musical legacy and go both up against - and with - the traditional 'allsång' concept must be a part of it: Here I explicit thinking about the following acts/bands: * Ebba Grøn/Imperiet/Thåström * Broder Daniel/Håkan Hellström * Kent + bands like The Wannadies and Cardigans that breaks big... And the obvious: And of course it all standing on the shoulders on some very gigantic act ex: 'ABBA' But clearly it also have a lot to do about political willpower to do some very freshforward mangement of the rules for who (here youngsters) and how to get access for the rehearsal rooms, studios, free instruments etc. for them...and with that; a safeness in a very secure welfare system and a democracy with so much inheritance around music, singing al together, nevet be afraid of that good melody and especially the even better refrain, (and even all of the community centers have a role to play in this - perhaps...) But thanx for doing it - I really enjoyed it!!! 🎉 Do some more about other exciting Swedish bands/acts (there's so many) Tack så mycket 🇸🇪
So glad you enjoyed it! Your insights on why Swedish Music seems to be so consistently good interested me very much. The governments commitment to their artists and musicians is, indeed, quite forward thinking and, as you stated, a safe haven for creativity. So thanks for your insight! Cheers
We enjoyed this, so much fun to watch! Cheers from Beagle.
I appreciate that very much! A Different Sunday was my personal favorite video from the film. So clever and fun! Cheers.
Was wondering if there was an equivalent to Britpop. Only heard of the Cardigans tbh.
There is nothing like this for Britpop that I know about. And yes, most people have only heard of The Cardigans, which is why I made this project. Cheers!
Lived in Gothenburg for a couple of years in the mid 90's and remember quite a few of these above mentioned bands.Used to really like popsicle and Brainpool and the Cardigans to a lesser extent. Mind you, anything was better than DR Alban!!! Happy times.
Happy times and good music. If must have been quite an experience living in Gothenburg. Ane thanks for taking the time to share that. Cheers!
This is fan-tabulous, Obe!
Thanks Spaz! Not only for the comment, but for your part in my introduction to Swede Pop.

Nice List! This scene had so many great bands that need to be explored more. Thanks for chiming in with your list. Cheers
Great bands with the Merrymakers being my favorite!
I loved all the Merrymaker stuff. Andrew's Store would be my fave EP of the era, and Bubblegun barely missed this list. Myhr can pen a freaking tune! Thanks for checking it out DC
Wow finally! Love Swedish indie pop. Club 8, Acid House Kings, Girlfrendo, Red Sleeping Beauty, Radio Dept, Nixon, Eggstone, Florian, The Mary Onettes, Second Hand Furniture, The Legends, Edson, Bedroom Eyes, youngfuck, The Garlands, Hello Saferide, The Shermans, Free Loan Investments, etc.

@@pop-optic9620 How about Ulver that is neither rock nor pop where darkness is more of a mood and philosophy than how loud or soft one is? How about genre shifts expressing ideas and emotions as tools or mediums than ends in themselves?
@@johnpolitis7929 Ummm, exception. Annnd another exception. But I get ya John. Thanks for the counterpoints. Peace
@@pop-optic9620 And Bowie also did genre shifts and genre hopping as well.
@@johnpolitis7929 Two of my all time faves, 10cc and Queen play that game as well. I love it when you never know what's around the next corner on a song.
