@@CarbonAnimationProductions ah man that sucks. It could be blown Rod Bearings, that's what mine was. Easiest way to check is drain the oil and hit it with a flashlight, if u see little flakes of metal like "glitter" your rod bearings have exploded.

Apologies I missed this comment! Technically: Yes, ThunderHill had a dB limit of 103. Reality: there were some loudass bikes and I didn't see a dB Meter at Tech Inspection? That having been said: this was my first time, both me and my buddy had Stock Exhausts, so we wouldn't have encountered the dB Meter if it was present. Go at your own risk, but unless it's a straight-piped V4 u should be fine!

Dang for some reason this comment was hidden, until I checked analytics, my apologies for the incredibly belated response! That could very well be part of it, you can see me shake my head when I REALIZE I'm in the wrong lane; it's a weird turn off of a feeway onramp with a stop sign that I rarely took, it was a genuine mistake and I swear I am not just saying that for legal reasons, the headhsake on the video is my real reaction to me being dumb. That having been said: I didn't feel panic at any point, until I got up and saw my leg bleeding. The steering didn't lock, didn't tense up, I've ridden in dirt farm roads on street tires many times so I didn't feel it would be an issue. Boy was I wrong l0l I blame it entirely on myself. Yes, it was unforseen gravel, yes my tires were cold, yes it was only my 2nd time with Traction Control off on that bike, but ultimately the accident was caused by MY lack of preparation for those variables that I was entirely aware of. Ride safe, wear gear! ✌️🏍️

Been real bummed honestly. I know I shouldn't be ungrateful but it just sucks, really demotivating. The knee is still fucking with me badly, limping 4 months after when it "wasn't broken" doesn't seem right. Got the (third) pinky splint off TODAY actually, get to go 4 weeks to see if it atrophies again or not. If it does I go back to surgey, I'm praying with my whole soul that it's healed properly. Bike is solid tho got her up and running fully, just need to replace the scraped fairing now! Riding to and from work is the best part of my day. Hope you've been doing well brotha! I just haven't been on UA-cam since it bums me out watching people do stuff I couldn't. I'll be back tho! Fairing replacement video when I get around to buying one (frickin matt metallic midnight blue was only available in 2022 so they're shockingly expensive for such an inexpensive bike)! @@wizardmoto dude! That is a bummer. I’ve been through that it’s not broken situation. I swear that there are two medical systems. One is for the very wealthy, then there’s the rest of us. It seems like forever, and i know it doesn’t help, but it’s still not summer yet! That’s something that’s positive. Just think about the small positives. The ole Z getting ready is a big positive! You are gonna get through it! Can’t wait to hear from you in June!!! I’ve also learned that sometimes you have to be tough with the health care providers. I used to be a push over, and it nearly got me killed! Now, I’ll call them every day if need be. You know I’ve been through the mill, and judging by the little bit we’ve chatted, I think we’re a lot alike. I quit all social media, because it killed me watching people live their lives, while I spent months in a recliner. There’s a big payout for you. The first day you’re not thinking about your pain. The first day your ride is in top shape, and you are pain free. You will appreciate it more than all the guys you’re riding with! I promise! I’ve been making videos about this camera for 3 months. This was westbound Highway 34 in Oregon, it's an awesome little two-lane highway that winds through the mountains all the way to the Coast! This section is on the largest peak in the area, Mary's Peak, very good ride, rarely too much traffic, amazing views at the top! Check it out brotha!

@@wizardmoto damn! There’s not a lot of competition. There are 100000000 shit companies and chin mounts. I didn’t want to put a generic mount on my expensive helmet. Really, they were the only one I could find that fit my LS2. Did you use the tether? I didn’t, don’t want to glue anything else to the helmet. Let me know if you find a good solution.

@Broken-om3pk yeah I agree, and same boat on not using the tether! Gluing the mount on was bad enough! I temporarily have just been super careful about not tucking quickly if I'm using it, but honestly I'm so scared to lose my gopro I only use it for commutes now when I don't intend to be ripping too hard. I'll keep u posted tho, I'm determined to find a solution even if it means semi-permanently modifying the buckles somehow.

@tora6362 oh man that's a stiff bill!! Good luck brother that's rough. I think she'll be okay, sliding ground down the stator cover all the way through so all the oil dumped. However since it slid on the shifter it kicked up into 6th without throttle input, so presumably stalled before there was enough time for serious damage to occur. Fingers crossed!! I have the cover on order, we'll find out if she runs when I throw it on and fill her up with oil again. I'll make a video eventually on the aftermath/repairs but I can't do much wrenching or filming with only one hand at the moment.

More coming soon!! Currently laid up with a broken shoulder after a gnarly lowside on my little 125cc chinese dirtbike, so I haven't been able to even edit videos much, much less get out riding again. Hopefully be healed up in time for winter, get some snowy adventures in!

Actually I can attest to that! One of my buddies got into riding recently and I rode the Ninja 300 he purchased over 100 miles home for him! I was amazed at how similar the bikes were, other than riding position obviously.

Ay I know this reply is late, but that's messed up man. I know it's a "stupid" accident, but honestly he was ballsier than most attempting this road as a new rider. I was on a Versys, and the leader was on a damn R1 bro, he was a champ and a true rider for being down for the mission. You wanna know why this reply is late tho? I lowsided a 125cc dualsport at no more than 20mph doing some dumbshit on pavement and just fell wrong, shoulderblade fully shattered; three big pieces and SHATTERED along the top, happened September 18th and still cant lift more than 20lbs much less get on two wheels. No lie I giggled too when I rewatched this footage, but crashing on a bike at any speed is no joke and karma comes around man. Ride safe brother✌️🏍

For someone who doesn’t ride, would you mind telling in layman’s terms what happened here and why?

@@jaredbarhorst248 We were riding into the sunset and as I exited the shadow of Corner A I lost visual on the apex of Corner B. I could have 1) stayed on course and braked super hard before entering, hoping the rider behind me doesn't follow my entry speed and praying that I can see the exit of Corner B before its too late, or 2) abandon the Corner and bail to the shoulder. In a perfect world I would have bailed into *my* shoulder, but I was carrying to much corner speed. I didn't see anyone in the left lane and knew I could pull across quickly enough that it was probably safer than going 50+mph into a blind corner. Tldr: too fast, too sunny, poor ride planning. %100 avoidable. I posted this in hopes others could learn from my mistake.

Totally agree, it's truly the perfect Jack-Of-All-Trades bike! Nothing better than getting out for a ride, knowing the bike will take whatever I throw at it. What tires do you recommend for offroad? We're running Continental Trail Attack IIs I believe, pretty solid 50/50 tire so far, even in the rain!

@@wizardmoto Shinko E804/E805 Adventure Trail Tire... They are a great road tire due to design but they are not the most aggressive in the motocross type dirt but for riding dirt roads/gravel roads and exploring fields and forest. They look wild on the bike but tackle the pavement as needed.

@@errata101 That's good to know! I avoided them because I heard complaints that they weren't super stable in the rain (which we get a LOT of in Oregon) but perhaps I'll give them a try this summer! Glad to hear they've been working out well for you.
