Peak time is 06.30-09.30 & 16.00-19.00 Monday-Friday. In the Gatwick-London direction peak fare only charged in the morning as long as your journey ends in Zone1 (Central London) Southern trains same 30 minute journey, free wi-fi, better seats. look for the green trains and don't get ripped off on GX! GET YOUR OYSTER CARD AT GATWICK STATION TICKET OFFICE. USEFULL TOOLS. Search 'TfL single fare finder ' to find fares for your journey. Download the 'London's rail and tube services' map from the TfL website. This is the Oyster/Contactless area.

BEWARE! A TOURIST RIP-OFF. A great welcome to the UK, a premium fare for a mediocre service. The savvy traveller uses their OYSTER or CONTACTLESS debit/credit card or even Apple/Android pay on their phones and uses SOUTHERN services, tap in, tap out for £8.30 off-peak £15.10 peak. GX in £19.80 at ALL TIMES. For Gatwick to Victoria journeys or any other into ZONE 1, peak fares are only charged in the morning peak time 0630-0930!! There are SIX Southern trains an hour during the day which all take the same 30 minute journey, more comfortable seats and free Wi-Fi too. One train is red the other green that's the only difference.

I remember on the 22nd of May 2016 we flew from Paris to London Heathrow we had 1h and 30min to go to the gate to take another plane a Pakistanian man helped us to find the gate he came with us on the train I nvr forgot his kindness Thank you so much if not him that day we hv to buy new ticket .

Don't get the Gatwick express its a rip off get a day travelcard or use your countless carded on the ticket barrier and go to platform 4 for a fast service to London Victoria to London bridge it will cost £5 off peck and £10 on peek to travel without the Gatwick express its a waste of money and a con. GATWICK EXPRESS IS NOT A PREMIUM SERVICE DO NOT PAY A PREMIUM FARE £19.90!Get an OYSTER CARD at Gatwick when you arrive, you'll need one if staying in London anyway, or use bank card that has CONTACTLESS. Remember overseas visitors may have to consider bank charges. Then "touch in" at the ticket barrier and "touch out" at Victoria. How much is the train ticket from Gatwick to Heathrow airport and can we pay in USD and US credit cards are accepted?

If there are 3 or more people traveling together buy the ticket at the ticket office near the train platforms and ask for groupsave you should get a discount on your ticket cost
