I’m a 13 year old guy and I have had this for about a year. I made a big effort to get rid of it on my own last school year and gave myself the goal of using a public bathroom 50 times. I actually did it and it caused my paruresis to get better, but not cure it. Currently, I can go to the bathroom at home as long as everyone is doing something and I can use a public bathroom stall/cubicle as long as nobody is in there. I’ve recently been using a grocery store near my house to practice just waiting people out, which I have never done. I haven’t been doing this for too long though, so I haven’t had the opportunity to wait anybody out yet. I have tried the breath hold technique multiple times and it hasn’t worked. Also, nobody knows I have this. Do you have any tips, suggestions, or ideas? If you could give me some that would be great. Also, I’m asking this to many people on UA-cam so don’t think I’m listening only to you.
